Where's the IDP angle here?
One of my leagues have punters as IDPs, with bonuses for punts inside the 20, and I know others are out there.
Two of my league's require punters. I for one appreciate the insight.
My dynasty league also awards pts for punts inside 20, its part of our ST. I also appreciate the insight, just making light of punters. No doubt he can boom it, I made note-to-self. :lmao:

The effect a great punter and special teams (high net average, ability to pin inside the 20) has not been formally considered and probably isn't worth major consideration in IDP leagues that don't specifically use punters. In NFL terms, however, many a defensive coordinator -- and Buddy Ryan in particular -- have said that a major key to a successful NFL defense is a good punter.

In IDP Scrabble, however, the last two seasons have been gold for those drafting punters.

Two words - Andy Lee.

:hophead: I've always felt hang time is the key. You can boom punts, but if you out kick your coverage, the net suffers. You don't want to give a Hester or Cribbs a 10-15 yard cushion.

Football is a game of field position and this is especially true in the bad weather we see during the playoffs. I think it is vastly underrated.
