Ten, stood the test of time and arguably got better with age. Hope the sequel breaks the trend of bad comedy sequels.

 
True grade - 9. It's very good. But also quite possibly the most overrated comedy of all time. The hyperbole about this movie (see above) is off the charts. Especially with guys in their 30's and 40's. This was their Animal House or Caddy Shack.

 
I wouldn't call it terrible, but it ain't that great. I watched it a couple times, but that's it for me. When I'm flipping channels and the movie is on a station...I blow right past it.

 
Trying to picture Harry and Lloyd use a smart phone, shop on Amazon, or twerk and I think its going to be hard to screw this up.

Loved it. Only gave it a 9 because of the bathroom scene. I've heard that's the favorite scene for some, but I'm not a fan of toilet humor.

Oh, come on. D&D is the funniest move since those three and deserves to be mentioned alongside those.

This would be correct.

I mean, this movie literally has me laughing beginning to end. There are some movies that come and go and are funny, but when was the last time you can honestly say you saw a comedy that was absolutely hysterical at all points beginning to end? Yeah, this movie is in a class of its own and second place is not even close.

I voted 10, I have seen this movie more times than I care to even try to count, and it has never let down. Timeless, hysterical movie.

ETA: Since D&D. Lots and lots of "comedy" coming out of Hollywood following D&D that isn't even in the neighborhood.

Just as ridiculous as claiming D&D isn't close to Airplane, Animal House and Caddyshack.

This will go over like a fart in church, but while Caddyshack and AH are phenomenal, they don't hold up as well for me after many viewings.

Certainly not in the way D&D does.

I tried to capture this, but what I meant is that I think D&D hit a peak in Hollywood comedies. There's been a lot of sub-standard/crap comedies in comparison that have come out since D&D, leaving me to consider D&D the 90's-on "gold standard."

Where it stands vs. classics that came before it like Airplane, Animal House and Caddyshack is its own thread topic, and a good one. D&D definitely in the discussion with those true classics, though.
