Dwayne Bowe (1 Viewer)

Bowe has been pretty solid so far despite the situation he is. However, now with the possibility of Thigpen being under center for awhile, the drama with LJ, and the possibility the team could eventually start to pack it up for the season, how do you feel about his second half prospects?

He has little to no upside. That's the problem. A great talent in the worst situation a WR could be in throughout the entire league.

The (only) glimmer of hope in Bowe's situation is his really high amount of targets, which has been consistent no matter which QB has played. Yes, Thigpen is a trainwreck, but Croyle and Huard aren't exactly Marino and Elway themselves. I agree that blow-up upside isn't there with Thigpen, but the target levels keep him entrenched as a low-end WR2, very good WR3.

I wonder if the targets will stay up. With LJ out he is one of only two weapons on the team, and they are behind in games alot.

He's got to be looking forward to Stafford or Tebow coming into the fold.

Whatever QB KC drafts will become the immediate starter and a substantial boost to Bowe's value.

I agree in dynasty Bowe looks good. For this season, I am wondering if he can relied upon as a solid #2 for the rest of the season.

I'd say yes, albeit on the lower end. He's been steady through all three QB's, no lower than 5.7 points in my league and no higher than 11.9; with a 9.17 ppg righ now he's at #25. Meanwhile he's going into the better half of their schedule.

oh are you guys speaking of Dwayne "mr. consistent" Bowe? He averages 15 pts a week in ppr leagues. Not too shabby for a 2 or 3 WR on your team. It doesn't matter who is throwing the rock in KC and he seems to produce. Starting him this week until he burns me (like Colston did)

Even in an non-PPR redraft league he is definitely worth playing week in week out as WR3. Here's how he has scored for me:

10.9

9

10.3

8.5

5.7

8.6

I'll take that from my WR3.

He may not put up 120yds, 2TD weeks this season but I think most people projected around 1000yds and 6 TDs which is what he's likely to finish with.

Yep, I love his consistency in PPR. It's encouraging to see him maintain an above average level of play even with tremendously below average quarterbacking. Once this guy gets a QB, look out..

And here you go:10/22/08 09:09 AMTHE NEWSQuinn Gray has signed with the Chiefs, according to the KC Star. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. He is expected to be at practice today. Our ViewThe team went with Gray over Bruce Gradkowski. He has fared well during his time with the Jaguars, and will provide favorable depth with Brodie Croyle (knee) lost for the season.

Bowe is getting so many balls thrown his way the only thing that is hindering him is the prospects of KC being near the redzone.

Quinn Gray--3 year backup in Jacksonville. Appeared in 12 games--mostly last year, when he went 80/144-986, 10td 5int.

   !excellent news for Bowe owners across fantasy-land! Gray not only has a strong arm... he's also mobile enough to get out of the pocket and buy time as well as move the chains! Good Signing! :goodposting:
