Oklahoma State senior WR James Washington caught five passes for 124 yards in Saturday's 59-21 drilling of Pitt.

Incredibly, four different Oklahoma State receivers had at least 100 receiving yards in this one. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Washington is now working with a 14-388-3 line through three games. Assuming he stays healthy, Washington is a lock to exceed 1,000 receiving yards for the third straight year.

A&M junior WR Christian Kirk caught just three games for 34 yards and a touchdown in the school's 45-21 win on Saturday over Louisiana-Lafayette.

The entire Aggie team posted big production... except for Kirk. To be fair, the passes were really spread out among receivers. Kirk's lone touchdown was caught in the left corner after releasing from the slot and adjusting to the ball at the catch point.

UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen completed 34-of-56 passes for 463 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday's 48-45 loss to Memphis.

The 6-foot-4, 218-pound Rosen looked outstanding except for a few embarrassing mistakes, the biggest being Tim Hart's 60-yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter. It's hard to criticize Rosen for a few mistakes when he plays behind a poor offensive line with no semblance of a rushing attack to help out. Against good teams, he's asked to win the game by himself. Pulling that kind of weight -- when the defense knows your offensive strategy -- is going to lead to errors every now and again. At this time, Rosen is a top-five overall NFL prospect. He remains in the running to be the No. 1 pick in the spring.

Toledo senior WR Cody Thompson caught nine passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns in a 54-51 victory over Tulsa on Saturday.

When you catch four passes for 142 yards and two scores like Diontae Thompson did on Saturday and you aren't the leading wideout on your own team, you know someone went off. The other Thompson did just that. The 6-foot-2 wideout scored 11 times last year, so we knew he was no stranger to the end zone. His first score was a big one, as the 28-yarder brought the Rockets back to within two scores at 28-14 with just seven seconds left in the first half. He hauled in two scores in the third quarter, an 81-yarder from Logan Woodside to make it 31-28, and a 15-yarder to make it 34-31. Toledo throws the ball a lot, and Thompson's size, speed and opportunity should allow him to be among the FBS leaders in plenty of receiving categories.

Oregon senior RB Royce Freeman rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in Saturday's 49-13 dismantling of Wyoming.

Freeman scored from one and three yards out in the first quarter and added another one-yard touchdown in the second quarter to help the Ducks sprint out to a dominating 42-10 halftime lead. The 6-foot, 229-pounder has performed like a true Heisman contender this season, rushing for at least 150 yards and two touchdowns in all three of Oregon's games to date. He has already found the end zone nine times. He'll try to keep up all this awesomeness in a road date with Arizona State next weekend.

West Virginia junior WR David Sills caught eight passes for 130 yard and two touchdowns in Saturday's 56-34 victory over Kansas.

The renaissance continues. Sills (6'4/203), a former ballyhooed quarterback recruit, has in short order become QB Will Grier's favorite target. He's proven to be both efficient and explosive. Sills boasts a 26-396-7 line through four games.

Chubb is starting to look 100% again.

Mark Andrews has been bossing at TE so far this season. He looks bigger, but perhaps not as mobile as in the past two seasons.
