Dynasty Value Discussion Thread (4 Viewers)

Price check on Amon-Ra and how it compares to Pickens. I might be mad but in one dynasty league where I’m fighting for a bye, I own Amon-Ra and Jamo so have of course been looking at what I could get for Jamo.

Decided to put Amon-Ra on the block today just to see what happened. A re-building team instantly offered me Pickens and Tracy and stated as such that that was just a starting offer.

Madness from me to entertain selling him ? Pickens is definitely a good piece back
Pickens on a second contract really scares me. But assuming he either stays in Dallas or gets a WR1 contract and usage, I think I'd want a 1st on top of Pickens to make me think about it.

Agreed. Not enough for ARSB. An early 26 1st or early to mid projected 27 1st has to enter the conversation before it's worthwhile. That's all assuming Jerry Jones does the right thing and extends Pickens ASAP. I'm not sure I want any part of Pickens if Jones slow plays the contract negotiations...

Agreed...that second piece needs to have more meat on it whether it is draft pick or picks or another good young player...Tracy doesn't move the needle at all in this type of deal...Pickens is such a tough one to evaluate in this type of deal...ARSB is as safe as you get as he checks all the Dynasty boxes...Pickens has been light's out this year and this could be the start of a string of huge years but there is still a bit of the fear of the unknown with him (especially when you are talking about trading ARSB for him)...you don't know where he will be playing next year or how he will be once he gets the big deal...due to that I would want to make sure that you get a second more substantial piece just in-case there is a worst-case scenario with Pickens next year.

Agreed guys, I have no interest whatsoever in Tracy. The guy even said ‘this is a starting bid’

It’s a TE premium league I removed Tracy and added Tyler Warren just to see what he does. Ultimately, I’m not really entertaining this unless there’s an overpay that helps me now and doesn’t damage the future. Pickens gives me availability and likewise scoring for this year, going forward Warren hopefully replaces Kelce and Pickens remains an adequate fill in for Amon-Ra.

Talking just right now, to me, Pickens just about looks like the best blend of height, power, speed and hands in the entire league. He literally looks imperious out there

On the flipside I wouldn't give up Warren and Pickens for ARSB...especially in TE-Premium...if you can add something in to get that done that could be a nice deal.

What are the thoughts on the value difference between Egbuka and Hampton? Which side needs more or is this an even swap? If not, what should be added to which side?

Anyone considering a cash out on JSN? He's the one player on all my rosters that I've watched the least.
As always it depends on what you get offered. It would take a ransom for me to move him as he is the only game in town and he gets open at will. He should be a top 5 PPR WR for the next couple years. If you are not a contender and want to replenish the cupboard you can shop him and see what kind of return rolls in.

Not a contender and #4 in the 2026 draft. SF, deep bench. Was offered Egbuka, Sutton, and a (likely late) 27 1st. Currently have 2 26 and 2 27 1sts. IMO, it's not enough, but Egbuka has me reconsidering.

It's not a bad offer but I do believe it's a little light. I would probably like another high pick as well. Can you counter with Egbuka, 2026 1st and 2027 1st or is that too aggressive?

I’ve been saying for a couple years now that I think JSN is a top tier stud. This year isn’t an anomaly. He’s in the class of Chase and JJ, and maybe better because he’s so young.

Unless you get a huge haul, I’d hang on. He’s the kind of dynasty player we all dream about.

Just thought this was funny. On the CBS app, one of the most recent articles is Heath Cummings' dynasty trade value list. And it includes 4 embedded spreadsheets listing the rankings for each position separately. Each embedded item is supposed to be a single tab from his spreadsheet. But two of them are the entire spreadsheet file. So you can actually go through all of his tabs and see miscellaneous rankings that I don't necessarily know what they all mean. One of the tabs is titled "Fav Massage Therapists", don't know what that's about -- OKAY OKAY THAT'S A JOKE, I MADE THAT ONE UP, don't sue me Heath!

Personally if I had JSN I’d consider that offer, but it’s not a godfather - I love Egbuka, but he’s probably less relevant with Godwin & Evans in the mix. His future is very bright though. The future 1st is nice, and always difficult to say it’ll be late as you never know what’ll happen to a team with regard to injury/schedule luck.

Maybe counter for that package + a 2nd?

I don’t think it’s that far off. I expect SEA to bring in another receiver as Kupp wasn’t it. Shaheed is getting more action as he gets comfortable in that offense. Not saying JSN won’t still be great, it’s just that it’s also difficult to project for future considerations we don’t yet know.

I think it’s a good opening salvo, at least.

What’s your rebuild strategy? JSN is still very young - he’s the kind of dude you build around. I agree with @Gally that you could counter for a bit more. Also Sutton is getting long in the tooth (30), so maybe counter for another young upside asset rather than Sutton.

What's the value of CMC?

Swap Barkley for CMC or would you give up a 2027 1st for CMC?
All depends on the state of your roster. I've owned Cmc since his rookie year and am looking for my 4th chip in the last 7 seasons, so a 2027 1st is not worth it for my roster, nor would the lateral step of swapping for Barkely.

If my team is middling or rebuilding, then I think the 1st is a decent enough cashout given how quickly the value of these RBs depreciates. Still don't think I would move him for Barkley in this case as you are still sitting on another depreciating asset, except one now coming off a disappointing season, 1 year removed from a high mileage career year.

I am not rebuilding as I will contend for some time
Daniels, Dak, Brissett
JTaylor, Barkley, JJacobs
Chase, Njigba, ARSB, Collins

McBride

Have to start 5 of the 7 in bold each week

The 2027 1st, have 2, probably don't help a ton
