Dynasy Leaguesafe Question (1 Viewer)

I'm running a start up dynasty league this year. After doing some research on how to run the league, I want people to pay for next year in advance. So year 1 will be a double payment. After that every year you will pay a year in advance. Can leaguesafe accommodate this? Can I tell it to hold half the buy in for next year? What is the best way to do what I'm trying to do?

Write LeagueSafe and ask them. They will help you out.

i ran a league using leaguesafe.i had the same payment method as you too.it's easy.for example:if ur dues are $40 a yr, set up payment for $80 each to the owners. u can adjust payouts and hold the next yr's dues at season's end. at the start of yr 2, the payment of $40 is due again. rinse and repeat.there is even a little comment section for you to explain this to the league when leaguesafe sends the 'bill'. so easy.hope this makes sense.

I've had no problem with LeagueSafe accomodating this. However, I'd suggest that your league will be happier with the following arrangement: If you have a $100 per owner league fee, charge a one time Franchise fee of %50, or half of the initial deposit. If they quit the league between, say January 1st and March 1st on good terms, the can expect a refund of the franchise fee. If they quit at other times of the year, or are asked to leave the league for cause (like collusion, or dumping players - our bylaws spell this out in more detail), they will forfeit their franchise fee and in some cases their league fee as well. The commissioner, at his discretion, can waive the franchise fee only for a replacement owner if it will help get the replacement in place. We've had no problem with this arrangement, and I've never had to ask the league to waive any more than the Franchise fee to attract a new owner, and in that case the franchise fee was forfeited by the previous owner anyway. I think that expecting a 100% deposit is excessive.

:goodposting: You get a year and half up front. (The first years dues and a half year deposit)If any future draft picks are traded the team trading them needs to pay 50 percent of their team fees before the trade is completed. If a team is only receiving draft picks and not returning any picks they shouldn't have to put up any more money. At the rookie draft going into year 4 the half the deposit money is returned (if they leave) or taken off each teams league fee going into that year. After year 6 the other half of the money is returned or taken off the league fee for each team.Any team that has left prior to the 4th year or 6th year will have their money saved to entice new owners to the league, if you don't have to entice new owners then after the 4th year the money is split between all the owners and taken off that years league dues, and the same for the 6th year.
