No, not a smoker. There is no smoke. Technically, smoke is made up of ash particulates. There are no ashes. Ashes are what carry all the carcinogens. With these, instead of the nicotine being in the ash particles that adhere to your lungs, this is a vapor. The nicotine is absorbed not through the lungs as much as through mucous membranes, the mouth, throat, nose. The gum uses the mouth, the patch the skin. Am I off tobacco? No, not while I'm still getting nicotine, that is a given, understood from the get go, it's like a nicotine patch or Nicorette gum. It's a nicotine delivery system. Just like other nicotine delivery products, the level of nicotine can be decreased over time.Is someone who chews tobacco a smoker? No. No ashes. Same thing, except no other toxins. So, safer than chewing too. Your son IS the reason there is a move afoot to ban these things, and that is a shame. We smokers who have tried time and again to quit have found the only way that works for us. Now concerns about kids picking these things up threatens the very existance of the product. Banning is not the answer... maybe prescriptions would work. I can say this: until I can stop completely, if it is banned, I WILL break those laws, I guarantee that. I'd be willing to fight to the point of going to jail over it. Roadkill.... cool sounds like it is working for you. Still, I'd suggest dropping 10 bucks on a sampler pack at 24mg. I've found that at times, I need to kick it up a notch from 24. Just a good thing to have on hand if needed, ya know? My opinion anyway. Godsend? You bet. You dragged your feet a little... I think you made the right decision, no doubt. 10 hours.... off to a great start my man! Life changing is what it is. 16 days in, and the benefits have been incredible. Almost no downside at all. I have only marginally gotten more cranky, unlike other attempts to quit. They still aren't cigarettes, but they get close.Technically you are still a smoker, and even a tobacco smoker if the judge said it's a tobacco product. Nicotine comes from tobacco so that would makes sense. It's better than being a crack smoker lol, although just as addictive. I hope these things aren't too harmful, since my son in college is smoking these electronic cigarettes. There are certainly worse things he could be doing, and he may be, but he's my kid so I worry, especially since his grandpa's death was directly related to tobacco products. The return of the HULK! Let me be the first to say thanks for starting this thread. Because of you, I am a non-smoker. From 2 1/2 to 3 packs a day to zero overnight 16 days ago. They seem pretty safe, a whole lot safer than cigarettes for certain. Only a few small studies have been funded to look into them, but the FDA's knee jerk reaction was to try to ban them. A federal judge shot them down, saying they are a tobacco product, not a smoking cessation product, the FDA has no authority over it. Three ingredients: nicotine, flavoring and glycerin. I copied some stuff from Wiki in post 724 on glycerin. They use it in foods and skin and hair care products, amoung other things. No apparent risk of cancer or emphazema. No cyanide, tar, carbon monoxide, etc etc, not to list the 3,948 toxins found in cigarettes. I used to cough so bad I gagged and even occassionally puked in the morning, and I am not coughing at all now. I used to blow my nose ten times in the morning, now just once. Food tastes better already. These things are so good I can drink coffee or have a cocktail and still not smoke. Some people talk about side effects, but the only one I have is dehydration, and everyone gets that. You just have to drink more water. That's it in a nutshell.I can't even read the thread I started without my head spinning. So, rather than flavors and jargon associated with this, any real word on the safety / health issues? Or is 16 pages of people discussing atomizers, chargers, and flavors?

The 18mg just kicked my ###. Not sure I can even use these...I'm used to being able to chain vape 0, 4, and 6mg juices and cartos for the last couple of weeks, but right now after sampling these new arrivals, and taking about 10 puffs off a carto filled with 18mg juice, I don't even want to look at an ecig for awhile.I think 8-12mg is going to be my absolute ceiling as far as nic levels go, but I guess it's all just part of the journey of trying to find my 'sweet spot'.

I'd like to taste all 3 of those. You were the person asking about trading juice, right? I'd be down for that. Any idea where to get small vials without ending up on a list somewhere? I could send you something from my juice order, I've got V4L 18mg Caramel Mocha Frappe or 18mg RY4 coming this week.
