I've never used the mega dual coils. I have heard very good things about them. Ive only used the standard 1.5 smoktechs. I usually use them around 4.5 volts in a dual coil tank. I get tons of vapor and killer throat hit. Since they use two 3 ohm coils I can turn it up to 6 volts and still get good flavor, but the heat is way too much for my throat to handle.

Ikenvape makes really great atomizers. I really love their new i06 atomizer. Its a re-designed 306 atomizer. Their cartomizers are good, but I wouldn't say they are great. Since I really only use 510 connection, I get the standard (3 ohm) Boge cartomizers for my 5 volt box mod. Boge makes probably the best cartomizer. They make an 808 cartomizer, but I've never used them for an 808.
You can get the boge 808's at Avid Vaper. I would probably go with those at 2.0 ohm. It really helps those small batteries get a good hot vapor. I've never used the V4L batteries at Low Resistance so you might want to make sure they can handle 2 ohm cartomizer.

I bought the exact same type of thing for Volcano. I friggin love the things. After a few weeks they gunked up so I should have bought more of the cartridge that goes inside the tank. I'll be buying again.

Got my order today and.......AWESOME. It's only one day in but this Volt is definitely doing it for me. I have tried Grape and Ry4 and like both, can't wait to try Trogg's DIY flavors after I get some blank carts. So I'm sure it varies, but do two or three vapes equal one smoke, or just hit it occassionally whenever you want the buzz? See Evilgrin's post from above. At the time I asked I was worried about hitting it too hard but without mods that seems unlikely. Just FYI--I never did go above 24 mg, and dropped down within a couple months to carry multiple strengths down to 0-nic. I found this to be easier than I ever imagined after 40 years of smoking, and haven't even done e-cigs for a few months now although I think I'll keep one around for awhile.Got my order today and.......AWESOME. I went with the Apollo. Gotta say I love it. been dripping and got some carts for it to refill. If you are looking for a way to up the punch or go VV. This is a very good way imo. and cheaper than my original V4L order.

I spent pretty much the first year just vaping Bloog's Coffee and Camel flavors, thinking the fruit flavors would be too sweet. But I tried out some Cherry carts in my last batch and I have to say I'm liking them a lot.After some time with these juices, I gotta say, I REALLY like the Hawaiian and Grape punch as well as the Green Apple. All 3 are good for all day vapes, IMO...I believe juices have to steep for a bit before they get really good and come together, and I think that was the case here. I mean, I liekd them when I first tried them, but now they are smoother, and just seem to be better all around. Killer TH, great vapor, and the flavors have settled in nicely.

Thanks for the tip. I've seen far less V4L sales over the past couple months so I'm definitely more interested in alternatives. Stupid question, do the tube tanks fit right onto the Super battery and essentially hold pure juice (as opposed to drenching the V4L cartomizer filler material)? BTW- I've moved away from condom method other than the initial cartomizer fill. Seems like the cartomizer lasts longer and gets less gunky if you drip refill.
To answer your question about the tube tanks. It's actually the cartomizer that screws into the battery. It pushed through the bottom of the tube and out the other end. Never have any problems with leaking. There is filler inside the cart which keeps wicking up the juice from the tank via a small hole towards the bottom of the cartomizer. That's why I get PG liquid. Works better in this kind of setup.
Am I remembering right that PG is throat hit and VG is vapor? If so, I should definitely look into this tip. I couldn't care less if I get plumes of vapor as long as I feel a strong TH. For that matter it wouldn't surprise me if I could do 0 nic as long as I was getting good throat hit.

Yup. Ive had a couple 100% PG juices that were just too harsh on the throat. Like a burning harshness, not a nice clean throat punch. But Ive also had a couple 80/20 mixes that was like a mule kick to the throat (in a good way) and hardly any vapor. Id hit Troog up and see if he could mix you a sample of something like an 80/20 that you could try. Ive got some more juice on the way from him as we speak.
If you can figure a way to get good TH with 0 nic you'll be rich. I tried to find one that had any TH with no success. Finally I just started putting a little menthol crystal in the carto to resemble something like TH (and I didn't smoke menthols). It worked, but it wasn't the same as 18mg of nic.

I'm in this camp too. I'm constantly ridiculed by a couple of my buds because "you're still getting nicotine." Maybe I'm pooh-poohing the risks associated with nicotine, but my goal all along was to avoid the 3000 or so carcinogens. I think I read somewhere that VG is a common ingredient in processed foods. Personally, I won't lose sleep over the unknown. I don't see how someone with that mentality can keep sanity looking at your typical processed food ingredient list, or breath air in a metropolitan area.
I remember you posting that you didn't condom fill a couple months back and was surprised. It seemed like a sure way to make sure the cartomizer was properly drenched. I've come to realize maybe that is not so important to drench that filler over and over again.
As we know the key to a carto lasting is to keep it wet (or not let it get too dry). Ive got to where I can taste when the cart needs juice pretty easily. Once the taste starts to taper off, I top it. Ive even got to where I cant pop the caps off without the use of a tool (V4L cartos), so topping off has become quick and easy. I do still miss on occasion and spill a drop here or there though. I dont know how many bottoms of shirts Ive stained with juice from my little cleanups. lol

That's all I've run into around these parts until just recently, when I encountered a lady selling a full range of eGo's from a shopping mall kiosk. She is well versed in many other systems too though not so much the mods. I understand there are two others selling eGo's in the Triangle area so that speaks well in general to these systems taking root in the retail world.

My suggestion would be to focus on quitting the cigarets, and use whatever ecig works for you to do that. If it takes higher nic like trogg posted then that's still worlds better than a cigaret. You've doubtless seen from this thread some who have found it easy to quit, some who have had to work towards that goal--and some who have no intentions of quitting the ecigs ever. It's all good, imo, as the nicotine may be addictive but it's the other crap that'll kill you. FTR--I was an easy quit. Amazing how that worked after 40 years smoking. Even so--in the beginning I was chain vaping, so if you want a cigaret don't hesitate to substitute an ecig. I had already quit smoking in the car--but with ecigs I got a pass-through with a car adaptor and that was a great benefit for me too, pretty much constant vaping. Also didn't jump from nic strength to the lighter ones all at once, instead I kept a stronger liquid for mornings/parties/tough times and lighter dose flavors for when it was easier. Play with the ecigs and liquids a little and enjoy them for what they are, and the more you appreciate them the less you'll miss the real smokes. I wouldn't even think about quitting the ecigs until you're not worried about having quit the regular cigarettes. Good luck.
