Electronic Cigarettes (4 Viewers)

So I went back with my original set up, just XL manual batteries, cartos and juice. I got 2 of the Vapor King XL manual batteries and in just a couple of weeks both quit working. V4L replaced them and they seem OK for now. I gave 1 to a friend to try and decided I'd get one of the new manual batteries they are selling, the Vapor Titan. For 3 days it worked fine, then it started turning itself on without any pushing of the button. Nothing I did could get it to turn off, so I just let it sit for 2 days, running until it ran out of power. V4L is replacing it, too.The best thing I can say about them now is their customer service is great. The product seems to have really tailed off since I quit vaping. Perhaps they have new a new Chinese factory producing their product? I'd be leary of pointing anyone interested in trying this their way. Maybe I got all the defective product and everything else will be fine, but I think I need to start looking at other options for vaping.
A quick follow up on the replacement Vapor Titan Vapor 4 Life sent me... It too has malfunctioned after about 10 days. I'm curious now about Totally Wicked. Do they have the almost daily specials/discounts like V4L does? I don't want to use V4L anymore. Again, the customer service is great, but the product (at least what I've been getting) is not anymore.

Thanks for the slower/longer drag tip, thats making it better. Any other tips.

FYI, Blu batteries don't last long. Would be unusable if not for the battery charging pack thing they include.

This shocks me. I've been rotating 3 Titan XLs for the past 2 months and they perform so much stronger and more consistently for me than the hit/miss VK XLs, it is really not comparable. It's surprising and disapponting you're not having the same experience. Only real complaint I have had with Titans is the limited color, and lack of XL stealth.

Yes they email discount codes every week. I'd go with an Ego, which they call the Tornado-c. If you want to use regular 808 carts or tanks with it (like the ones you buy from V4L), you need an adapter, which ironically V4L sells but TW doesn't. Its about $4 and will allow you to use any 808 threaded carts or tanks with their batteries (which have 510 threads).I've bee using the Tornado-c batteries from TW for a couple months now (with tanks from V4L) and I dont have a single complaint. Their cust service matches V4L, and their products are made better, IMO.

Yes, exhale through the nose is the cat's meow for flavor. I think we realized that epiphany the first 10 pages of this thread, but definitely worth repeating.
Holy God that's better.
Nice. This is a totally different habit. I've been doing it wrong imo.
Most people get impatient when they have nic fits and start whaling on it to get more vapor. Slow and steady wins the race.

It shocks and dismays me both. Luckily I still have some old VK batteries that I'm squeezing the last few vapes out of to get me through (and the passthru). I really am disappointed in them.

BTW- The most recent Titan battery I ordered in black had a different connection, without that pesky inverted cavity that always pooled liquid leaked from carto/tank. I only used that battery one charge but seemed to work great and definitely an improved design if that cavity is not needed.

Both of the defective Titans I have are like that without the little hole.

2nd day w/o regular cigs and so far I'm not missing them a bit. In fact, I'm "smoking" less than I normally would have since I can call up a puff at any time and not have to worry if I only want a drag or two, whereas I would have had to finish the whole cig before. Can it really be this easy? :pleasepleaseplease:

I found it to be very easy. Until I had one real cig on Memorial Day and didn't stop for 9 months. Easiest way I've ever found to quit.

I've heard this from a lot of people. It works until you smoke another cigarette.

When I started on eCigs, I allowed myself 1 cigarette a week. After 2 or 3 weeks, I found that I really wasn't enjoying them, nor the fact that I reeked after just 1 smoke. Stopped doing that of my own volition shortly thereafter, and I still have the last pack I bought with 8-9 cigarettes in it sitting in the top drawer of my dresser for the last 25 months.

Depends on the individual. I have an occasional cig at the bar once in a while, but all that does is remind me how nasty they taste - it doesn't make me wanna go back to cigs at all.

Yikes, well I'm moving my new one prematurely into rotation just to make sure it performs and/or fails within a reasonable return policy. Using today without any complaints.

I haven't had a drag since my last cig in Feb 2011. Shortly after taking up ecigs, I remember having my last emergency cigarette to get rid of it, and being disappointed. The throat hits from my ecig left me unable to even feel the Camel Light throat hit, and I reeked. I've been around smokers quite a bit since then, and just had no desire for a cigarette. I prefer the ecig in every way. So maybe I'm naive and capable of falling back into smoking cigs if I wind up at a bar at 1 AM with a dead battery, but I just can't envision any staying power whatsoever. I can't see how it would ever become my smoking preference. This is coming from a hopelessly addicted smoker who thought quitting was impossible.

Well, I was pretty hammered when I had it and didn't really think about what I was doing - not that that's a good excuse. Next thing I know I'm with my buddy at the store getting a pack. I didn't have any juice left and for the next 9 months I guess I thought it was easier to go to the store than online and get more juice

I liked Backwoods Brew's mocha.
Backwoods Brew is currently Closed due to a family emergency, We will try to get existing orders out as soon as possible but cant guarantee how quickly. :(

I found a store here in the Atlanta area that stocks all kinds of kits and parts and juice. They'll let you try out various set ups before you buy anything. They have a vapors'lounge area with 30 different flavors to vape while you are there. Pricing looks OK too.

RocknRoll Vapor

I'm going to go try out an Ego-C tomorrow. :excited:

:thumbup:Totally Wicked has 2 Vapor's Lounges within an hour of me. I broke a battery last month, so instead of ordering a new one online, I took a drive to Tampa and checked it out. The counter is like a bar, with stools and a vape menu, and they have couches and chairs you can hang out in too.

That's how I found this place. Totally Wicked's site has links to retail stores that have their stuff and this was the closest to me.

I've gotten to the comfort point with certain clients and service providers that I just use it in my office when they are here and in at least one other office when I have business there and it's all good. So, to recap - can "smoke" in my car with no smell, in my office, on my couch, in front of my wife, in front of other people, whenever I really want and there is no offense to anyone else.

Gold, Jerry, Gold. You couldn't pay me to smoke a real cigarette at this point and it's been that way almost from the second I got one of these things. I don't even really have a crave that much for a cigar anymore and that is saying something.

So I'm the proud owner of an eGO-C system. So far I like it a lot. The battery is supposed to last all day (I got 2 of them) and I can see the juice, unlike the KR-808 from V4L that keeps you guessing on battery life and how much juice you have left before you get a dry hit. The juices at the place I went weren't all that great, but I know where to find great juice. I am looking forward to this next step in vaping.

Volt just showed up.

It. Is. On. This is so much better than I anticipated. Have a line on some great juices, so I'm going to buy some blanks and fill 'em up. Thanks, guys.

Also - the draw on this thing is sooo much better than on the crap I've been using. Wow.

I'm not sure... It's a clear "tank" that they say is disposable and holds about 25 drops. What I really want is one where the little atomizer is sold in blister packs and those are what are replaced. Did I get the wrong thing?

You might have a clearomizer, which look something like these:

Tanks Im talking about look more like this and hold 3.5ml or 6ml (100+ and 200ish drops), and you can replace the cart inside the tanks.

I've tried clearomizers, the taste and vapor I got from them doesn't compare to tanks.

The 3.5 ml tanks from V4L are great. Initially I was 75% Bloog cartomizer because the dual coil was sucking up battery, and tanks don't fit in a pants pocket well. I'm 95% tank at this point. I was a fan of Bloog blanks. But even a newly juiced Bloog cartomizer pales in comparison to the clean taste of the tank... and that's at any point in the 3-4 day life cycle of a tank cartomizer. And the dual coil seems so, so much stronger. I'll rotate more batteries; I'll buy pants with freakishly large pockets.

Sold--I'll pick up a couple tanks to try out today if I can slide by there. What battery strength you guys using with it? That twist doesn't keep a charge on the wide open setting too long and I was already planning to pick up another one--but the vendor I've got actually doesn't prefer them, last I asked. I've also got a 100ma active which corresponds to the mid-range and has held up well.

Yep, I have clearomizers. I want the tanks I think. The guy running the shop I was at said something about VIVI Nova tanks. Have you heard of those?

I use V4L Titan XL batteries with my 3.5 ml tank. The 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizers require something stronger than the classic Vapor King line.

Lol, tanks in my pockets aren't an issue. My batteries are almost the same thickness as the tanks so it doesn't feel weird in my pocket.I have been consistently getting a week out of each tank cart, sometimes up to 2 weeks. The key is clear juice and keepimg the tank at least 1/3 full. When it runs low, that's when the batting in the cart seems to darken and clog faster.Stevie, the only tanks I've used are the V4L ones, and not all tanks are creates equal, so I can't say if the ones you're looking at will perform as good as the V4L ones.

What I ran into with the tanks/pockets was the drip tip would protrude, and fell off at times. I've actually had better luck with the Bloog drip tips staying on much better. Also like you, I've been getting 5-7 days out of the tank cart with the new lighter Bananas Foster 18, and change them out probably before absolutely necessary. I was getting 2-3 days with the thicker older version of the BF juice, and 3-4 days using the somewhat thicker Red Energy 18. So it has varied for me depending on thickness of juice, but still 3x whatever life I was getting from Bloog carts. I'm pretty stuck on BF and Red Energy flavors because they are the ones that give me ideal strong throat hit.

I should mention my pocket issue is probably based on the length using Vapor Titan XLs. The full battery/tank/drip tip assembly I use is 7.25 inches. Wingnut's assembly with the eGo style is probably shorter than a XL battery.

Bought my second mod yesterday - the VAMO. Tube mod, variable voltage/variable wattage. Only $52, runs on the same 18650 AWR batteries I already have for my REO Grand. My brother has one and loves it, so for $50, I invested. I plan to run it initially using Ikenvape 801 cartos, since they're only $1.75 each.

ETA : You can also run it in "stealth mode" using one or two 18350s and removing the extension, in which case it will disappear into my hand.

Okay, just started refilling cartomizers with a blend made by another company, supposedly the same strength but it feels waaaaay stronger. Is that normal? Should a fresh batch of juice feel significantly stronger than a purchased cart?

There can be a big variance in strength between juice/prefilled cartomizer... typically I've found the juice to be stronger. There can also be a big variance in flavor.
