How do I contact them about the SEVEN yard catch by Driver that was credited to Ahman Green with 2:06 left in the 4th qtr. The play right before the two minute warning.... It decides my game tonight!

Just talked to AM 620 WTMJ out of Green Bay & they replayed their audio call & it WAS DRIVER who caught the SEVEN yard pass....

Here is the rule from NFL.com on Gamebook stats:

Are statistics in the Gamebooks official?

No. Gamebooks are prepared on site at each game using data available immediately following the completion of a game. They are intended to provide a snapshot of the game's action and are not updated after stats are made official on Monday mornings. Please note that scoring decisions made on game days are reviewed and frequently adjusted before becoming official. See the Stats section of the site or a player's player page to find official statistics.

 
Nothing new to add to this thread except to say... Wow. Contacting a place about a stat just after the game... Wow.

 
I don't understand his stat line at all. I see two catches for 82 yds and a TD. But in the play by play I see one catch for a 48yd TD and one catch for 24 yds? Right now I'm up by 3/10's of a pt. :confused:

I believe he is talking about the play linked to below, which is in the NFL play by play listings, correct?

Notice that this play does not show it was negated by penalty, correct?:

Are you saying that this play should be credited to Driver OR

I just went through all the plays credited to Ahman Green and it adds up to 90 total yards, which is consistent with the play by play from the NFL and the Box Score listed. In other words, the stat line DOES include the play listed above.

I am bringing this up because if I had a player involved in an incorrect stat, I would like to think that someone would help me out.

I didn't see the play myself, did anyone see that it was Driver who caught this pass listed above and not Green?

Yes, this catch was definitely caught by Driver and there was no penalty on this play. He did catch a 24 yard pass later that was negated by a penalty. I do believe the refs were Seahawks fans. :bag:

So what should Driver's stats really be? 2-82 1 TD or 3-89 1 TD, or 2-55 1 TD? Any help would be appreciated as I'm in a game decided by 1 point.

 
one of the guys on staff said in the game thread last night that he felt this will definitely be corrected (the 7 yard pass to Driver that was incorrectly credited to Green) by the NFL....my question is this: how will we know when that happens? Will the NFL typically make it news? Will it show up on the Footballguys.com news blog?

those are 7 BIG yards in my league, and I want to make sure it's fixed (I'm sure I'm not alone here)....

It's probably invalid because their inbox gets filled up by tools like you who e-mail them immediately after a game is over to try to get game stats changed to help your fantasy team.Usually every week there is some minor stat changes that are made during the week after game tape is reviewed. Usually it's something minor like crediting a sack to a different person or in this case crediting a catch to a different person. The McNabb/Buckhalter play a few weeks ago is a larger example of this. So be patient, let them do their job, and wait til the stat changes come out. And if your league doesn't accept stat changes, then :ptts:

I just spoke to both Elias and Green Bay Packers.Com.... Packers said THEY have officially notified Elias of the error. Driver stat line SHOULD read 3 for 89 and 1 TD. Green will lose 1 catch and 7 rec. yards. Elias said they are working on this and SHOULD have it corrected after lunch. Hope this helps...

Crap. Green losing those 7 yards will cost me my game this week and most likely a bye in the playoffs. The stats changes usually happen on Thursdays with MFL.

 
RT Sports reports:

"A 7-yard reception by Donald Driver was incorrectly credited to Ahman Green in the Packers - Seahawks game. This has now been corrected."

 
does anyone know when elias will make this change?

if this is not done by thursday's kickoff i will have lost my championship game in the wcoff.

thats $6000 and the right to go after the big prize of $200,000

please credit driver with 3 receptions for 89 yards and 1 td. :cry:

For those who play in CBS Sportsline leagues, it is worth keeping in mind that their decision whether or not to automatically include any such scoring changes depends on when the official scoring change is made.....

Occasionally the NFL will make an official scoring change a day or more after games are played. If we receive their scoring change by the end of the day on Tuesday, we will update the site (anything we receive after that will not be included).In Football Commissioner leagues, the commissioner can include scoring changes that are made on Wednesday or later by using the “Adjust Scoring” feature at the bottom of the Scoreboard/GameCenter page.

elias is the official statistician of the NFL, so they have the official books.oh, the stats aren't free.
 
right....to this point, do we have official word from Elias? or just postings from a couple of people saying that Elias is planning on fixing it?

where can I find something that I can take to my league and get the score adjusted?

Go to www.packers.com, click on STATS, go to 2006 COMPLETE YTD stats, scroll down to REC., look at Driver, it lists EACH game and shows 3 catches 89 yards 1 TD for GAME 12.
 
not sure how many of you guys are in CBS Sportsline leagues, but they seem to have fixed this automatically when the standings updated overnight....no announcement or anything, they just updated the stats and standings.
