Every Man's Garage Should Have: (1 Viewer)

So strange. I have a nice home, with 75 inch HD tv in family room. Finished lower walkout are with another big screen and bar with lazy boys and fireplace.

But I like watching football in my garage with my buddies, dogs laying on garage floor, streamed football on a TV, our drinks and food are on a old table, we sit on old padded card table chairs with a fridge full of beer and the door open. Enjoy that more than any of my indoor rooms.

It's great to not have to worry about anything in the room getting messy/broken.......even better not having to hear about it from you know who

Yep, that's me. 3 TV's in the garage, fridge, dart board, etc....

It's more sports bar than garage. I may take a video this weekend and try and outshuke shuke.

A lot of the tools listed here I don't have in my garage, If my car needs work I take it to the dealership I work at. I used to do a lot of my own work, but as I have gotten older, I feel my time is more valuable and just pay to have my mechanics do it.

Tell your friend to put a tv in the garage, open the garage door, and sit out there with a cold one and wave at the people walking by.

The neighbors will come and people will stop to hang out. Before I moved here 12 years ago none of the immediate neighbors knew each other. Within 3 - 4 months we were all friends and hanging out. Still do.

Necessary if you or your buddies like to have a cigar during the game.

Yeah, me too. I'm sure by now I'm old creepy guy waving at everyone with a beer in his hand but I don't care.

I had a guy drive by, so I waved at him (I wave at everyone). A minute later he circles back and stops. Gets out of his car and introduces himself. He says:

"Hey there. I drive by here every day, and all I see is a guy drinking beer, watching sports....he has a boat in his garage...and a grill in the driveway. I just wanted to introduce myself."

That's how it happens, people.

My neighbor across the street had a TV in his garage that you could see from the street. He was single and retired. Every night in the summer, he was out there watching baseball. He'd have two or three beers, then in the 8th inning, fire up a joint. Watch the 9th, then go to bed. He kept 3-4 recliners in there for neighbors to stop by, and normally there are always a couple people there with him, drinking a beer, watching the game. Including myself on occasion.

RIP Larry, he was a great dude and a great neighbor.

What if I want to be left alone ......

So far I feel very manly....I think I have everything mentioned.

6ft pry bar
Six foot?!? What the hell are you prying open? Bank vaults?

I've used this to fix my fence, help pull out roots, help pull out a stump. I've also used it for leverage to help lift a couple heavy items as well as punching through some hard soil when I need to fix my sprinklers.
Yeah, fences and trees, that's exactly why I have this.

An addition to hold tools and act as a workshop so that you can park your cars in the garage.
that is why when we built again 17 years ago, we bought with a 3 car garage. We had one kid and were planning on another. Wanted to be able to park 2 cars inside and have room for tools, yard tools, bikes and all that.

Every garage needs the corner where you keep all the stuff you're planning to "sell" -- bikes from when your teenaged kids were in first grade, the 50-inch HDTV that you replaced with a 60-inch 4K, and that ottoman that your wife says doesn't go with anything in the house but we got it from Crate and Barrel and you can't just give that away!
