Fanduel/Draftkings Week 14 (2 Viewers)

I'm really liking the daily games content being put together by you. I like to start with the "On The Daily" line-ups and tweak from there. I am wondering if it would be difficult to add the number of game formats that are available in the "Interactive Value Charts" to the "On The Daily" link? The Interactive Value Charts tend to have Sunday Only, 4 pm only, primetime, and mon-thurs formats available while On the Daily will usually only have all remaining games, 1 pm, and 4 pm-mon formats.

Thanks
The problem with adding more game-time categories (or more sites) to On The Daily is that it already takes about as much time to run as is practical if I'm going to update it between inactive list disclosures and kickoff. If I wanted to add Sunday-only, for example, that's an additional 40 optimized lineups it has to find (four projectors * five sites * [primary + secondary]), and it would just take too long to run.

If you want a good starting place when On The Daily is not available, sort the value charts by H-value, enter the top three or four guys from the resulting sorted list, and let the app fill in the rest of the blanks for you. That will give you the same lineup or a very similar one to what On The Daily would give you for a given projector.
Thanks for the explanation, that's a reasonable reason to limit On the Daily. If it ever gets easier to do in the future, something to consider.

If the price is reasonable, a Tannehill / Wallace stack against a horrid Ravens secondary will be in a lot of my lineups.
What about a Eli-Beckham stack going against Tenn? Granted it'll cost $15,5k but that could be a nice stack.

Manning-Beckham is #22 on the list (which displays only the top 20) at 30.8 projected points for $15,500.
Thanks MT

Am I the only person that like the Baldwin/Wilson stack? Frank Gore for 5700, and Graham the kicker for 4500 are 2 others I like

I gotta say, it's pretty liberating to have conceded the TE position entirely to the whims of randomness. I'm not going to pay more than $4900 for a TE again this season. Last week was the final straw.

thoughts on Manziel this week?
If Vonate Davis doesn't play, I'm definitely going to have my fair share of Manziel/Gordon stacks. The Colts defense is completely different without him and Gordon will abuse any other CB the Colts have so Manziel can just chuck it up to him like he did in college with Evans. Also, it doesn't hurt that he will most likely get some carries which is very helpful for fantasy.

Loving Brees/Stills/Graham and Wilson/Baldwin stacks as well for this week.

Is there anywhere that I can easily download or copy/paste opponent's rank that is displayed at DK? When I export, it doesn't include it and I can't copy/paste it directly either.

Who is the play among the elite QBs this week? Among the top 5 it looks like Brees at home vs car
Rodgers at home vs. ATL is as close of a guarantee as there is for 25+ points, unless they pump the breaks cause of a blowout. However, he costs a lot and it's tough to make a lineup around him.

I think I've crafted one around Rodgers that I like. I can shoehorn Cobb in there for an attractive stack too. Of course it only works because I've given up at TE. Like I said -- it's kinda liberating.

Did some playing... on the super cheap end, Shaun Hill and Teddy Bridgewater have solid matchups, and free up cash to upgrade a few other positions. I'm totally abandoning Graham. I'm sure he'll come back with a huge game at some point - maybe even this week - but until he looks like himself, I'd rather not pay a huge price-tag for a crapshoot. I'm rolling exclusively with Gronk and Reed this week at TE. Gronk for his near guarantee of solid points and Reed for the tractor beam he has on McCoy passes. I like the same cheap WRs as last week, only they're starting to get pricey. Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry have a good shot at top-tier numbers at mid-level prices. Cecil Shorts and Doug Baldwin are cheap-o possibilities, and while I like them this week, I'm not crazy about them. RBs have really gotten expensive on DK. I like Pierre Thomas this week. His numbers this year are much better on turf, and perhaps that's anecdotal, but he's at home on turf, and I like his chances, even though that backfield is getting crowded again. Frank Gore is another reasonably priced option. Or you could go to As mentioned originally, really watching Harry Douglas and Latavius Murray - if things go right, they could be great values. Defenses are all spread out in value this week on DK, but you can save a lot of money if you find a matchup you like.

did this real quick:

QB: Sanchez

RB: Anderson

RB: Crowell

WR: ODB

WR: Josh Gordon

WR: Benjamin

TE: Ertz

K: Dawson

D: Broncos

Even against the Seahawks, I like Sanchez at his price. Sanchez has yet to be in a close game where has to keep throwing/keeping the offense moving. I'll stack him with Ertz as he may be the only one to get loose in the 'Hawks secondary. I do remember Gates went off against the Seahawks earlier in the year.

vs Panthers, W 21-45

@ Packers, L 20-53

vs Titans, W 24-43

@ Cowboys, W 33-10

All these games were not close, which capped Sanchez's value.
I'd be very careful with Ertz in this game. The reason Brent Celek has remained relevant, and Ertz has gone from a projected Top-10 TE to an afterthought, is because Celek is a superior blocker. Not just better than Ertz...but superior. I am guessing against a defensive front that mixes up its looks, and can bring pressure from various sides, Celek will be the TE in on 70+% of the plays. Ertz is cheap, but for a reason...he just isn't on the field enough to make him pay off with an regularity.

Loaded this one for my thursday lineup:

Manning vs TEN: Sanchez ate the Titans for breakfast two weeks ago, Fitzpatrick feasted for a nice lunch, now Manning gets a satisfying dinner

Foster vs JAX: FItz got the glory last week; this week we see the full power of Foster's ground game

Lacy vs ATL: he must be licking his chops. At home, playing with a lead, against one of the worst rush defenses you can imagine. Fantasy gold.

Beckham vs TEN: Yum

Hawkins vs IND: he as still been putting up solid numbers with Gordon back; imagine what he will do when his QB has to throw 45-50 times, like this coming Sunday?

Stills vs CAR: one more time to dip my toes in this underpriced option, who still seems to be the only deep threat in the NO passing attack

Gray vs DEN: 2 targets, two catches for 71 yards last week; this week, the Bills take the cuffs off their new atheltic, pass-catching TE

Barth vs BUF: really? second lowest kicker this week, who happens to play for the top-scoring team in the league, coming off a 17-point day? I'll bite.

Texans vs JAX: Blake Bortles. Enuff said.

Just a first crack at a DK 50/50....

Johnny Manziel

Fred Jackson

Isaiah Crowell

Dez Bryant

Randall Cobb

Mike Wallace

Delanie Walker

DeAndre Hopkins

Broncos D

Could also go cheaper at WR and upgrade at QB. Like Robert Woods if I swapped out one of the more expensive WRs.

Taking chances on Gore and Colston at their prices on FD.

Can't decide who's better at the same price......Kaep against Oakland or Fitz againt Jac.

What happens if Johnny lays an egg? I'd consider putting Hill or McCoy into one or two of those lineups...

Garbage time points? Sorry, but I don't see the 49ers putting up a ton of points on anyone...even our local high school team. They are a team that just won't get you 30+ points a game, so the term "garbage-time points" just doesn't apply to them, even against a dreadful Raiders team. Now, Hyde against the Raiders isn't necessarily a bad play. You may get lucky and get that goalline score. But if you look back at previous outings for Frank Gore, he has been the bellcow against sub-par rushing defenses. Have a look at Gores stats in those games where they have rushed more than 15 times:

@ NYG: 19-95

@ NO: 23-81

@ STL: 16-38

vs. KC: 18-107

vs PHL: 24-119

@ DAL: 16-66

Hyde hasn't received double-digit carries since October 13th againt the Rams, when Gore was ineffective. And in that game, Hyde wasn't any better, going 11-14. Point is, against teams that can be run on, Gore is the man. I expect the same this Sunday.

Seems like Herron and Crowell are two of the best values at rb. They are on most of my teams
CLE is pretty stout against the run... CLE is at home... TRich is still in the mix. I'm staying away from Boom... but I do like Crowell a lot (home against a porous IND rush defense, West in the doghouse).

Good stuff!

I'm a bit concerned with the NYG offense and defense after losing 5 players this week to IR: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/02/giants-place-five-players-on-injured-reserve/ leaving Coughlin to remark “We’ve talked about this and we’ve talked about the turnovers. Two turnovers for touchdowns?” Coughlin said, via Jordan Raanan of NJ.com. “We could have knelt on the ball in the second half and had a better chance to win.”

While the Jags are certainly a better defense than the Titans, I do see the Titans being very aggressive against a decimated NYG offensive line - remember the cover zero blitzes against Pittsburgh? Heck, I'm considering TEN as a sneaky DEF play. For me, that takes Eli, Jennings and ODB off of my board and raises the TEN players. However, I'm having a rough time trying to figure out who the targets and snaps will go to for TEN week to week, even who their QB will be this week, though their losing Hunter to IR definitely bumps Wright and Sankey - 9 targets and 10 carries respectively last week in their blowout loss. Walker ... well, maybe his curse is over now.

Damn... am I chasing if I roster Stedman Bailey @6300? I'm feeling him this week against WAS...

ETA: In fact... I really like the prospect of a Hill/Bailey/Cook stack. Potential for a bunch of points and a lot of leftover salary for high priced guys...

ETA:

[2014-12-02] New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (ankle) is still recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in Week 13. The team signed RB Chris Ogbonnaya Tuesday, Dec. 2, perhaps indicating that Jennings might not be able to go this week.

Just curious... why do you go heavy on the stud RB in tournaments? I think conventional wisdom is to go high upside RB and stud WR...

The first lineup is the only lineup in a tourney. Other two in cash. I honestly never knew about that strategy. I've been a pretty casual player until just recently. I took a look at my highest tourney scores and it's really a mixed bag. I haven't had terrible results, but maybe its something I need to look into.

I think the thinking is that there is much bigger upside from WR than from RB, so spend on them.

I typically don't play many tournaments, so I spend on my RB for the high floor. I was just curious what your thinking was...

I just honestly can't give you a good answer. The only real strategy so far in tourneys has been to pick a good stack then build from there. I use my own rankings based on 4 week performance overlaid with FBG projections.

 Thanks!

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. This past week, for example, there were just as many high-scoring teams that had Tre Mason in their lineup, that also had Leveon Bell or Joique Bell. Similarly, Julio Jones and Antonio Brown delivered comparable days to DeAndre Hopkins.

Right or wrong, I am loading up this week on Arian Foster and Eddie Lacy in as many combos as I can. So far, the one I like best does indeed have a reach or two at WR, but I am liking the chance they can give me decent production:

E. Manning

Foster

Lacy

Beckham

Hawkins

Stills

Gray

Barth

HOU

I may also sub out the NYG stack for CAR (Newton/Benjamin) in a couple. I'll take the 25-30 points each that I think my RBs will earn me, and complement them from there. Not the case every week, but I think these two RBs are too good to pass up this week.

Well Hoyers starting so Manziel is no longer a option. Cant see Hoyer being a cheap option as he could be benched at any time.

Here is my first crack at my FD Lineup this week.

Stafford 8300 -- Lions are rolling and a home matchup against the Bucs Stafford better throw 3+ TDs

Lacy 8500 - Everyone is going to be on Rodgers and the WRs and I think they can pound the ball all night on the Falcons and Lacy has his best game of the year.

Stewart 5200 - Stewart is a value play against a bad run defense and has an opportunity at more carries if Williams is Out.

Calvin 9200 - Looks to be healthy after Thanksgiving monster game. Multi Touchdown game is not out of the question and great stack with less expensive Stafford at QB.

Beckham JR 8200 - The Titans pass defense is BAD and OBJ has been money at the WR position lately and one of the hottest WR in the game.

Baldwin 5500 - Not much value at WR but I like Baldwin against an Eagles defense that can be exposed down the field. Good chance to have a bounce back game and maybe post a 5/70/1 kind of statline.

Kelce 5300 - Talent is there maybe not the snaps though. Fasano stole a TD from Kelce last week in the redzone, I think Kelce has a big game against a Cardinals defense that has struggled against opposing TE's for years.

Graham 4500 - High scoring offense playing at home and in a dome and the kicker is only 4500 - Yes please, next.

Detriot Lions Def 5300 - Defensive line is incredible. Hard to not see them getting to the QB this week multiple times and coming up with some big takeaways. Most people will be on the Niners against the Raiders after seeing what the Rams did to them.

I think this is a solid cash lineup and even has some appeal for GPP with the Stafford/Calvin stack and fading Rodgers for Lacy. I think OBJ could be the difference and has a shot at a huge game.
