Favorite and least favorite combo with chocolate (1 Viewer)

Been on a huge Choco and peanut butter combo in ice cream kick lately.

Chocolate and orange has never worked for me.

Best: Peanut Butter

Also Good: Pretzels (especially peanut butter filled), nuts, caramel, mint

Worst: Pretty much any fruit, but especially citrus

Also, if i lived in a big city, i would love to open a Mexican hot chocolate shop. Every little village in Central America has their own variety of cocoa drink, some dairy milk-based, some nut-milk based, some atole (masa) based, with every variety of chile, citrus, nuts, spices, coffee bean & natural sugars you can imagine. You wouldnt believe what a nice wake-up a lime/pinon, ancho/pineapple or canela/pepito cocoa can be.

so many good combos with chocolate:

raspberry, strawberry, cherry

coffee, cinnamon, caramel, marshmallow, malt, vanilla

not a big fan of nuts or mint, but get that it works.

Worst: citrus

Do you guys mean butt-cheek or butt-hole? Big difference no?
What if it was chocolate drizzled on the butt-cheek of a supermodel?

so many good combos with chocolate:

raspberry
Me Da worked his way thru college in the '50s in the freezers of Sealtest Ice Cream, one of the best brands of the age (still extant in the midwest, i hear, but been gone from New England a long time). One of their features was a Flavor of the Month, introducing peaches & bananas & berries to a neapolitan world. If the flavor wasn't a success, the company would extrude fruit & seed & as much flavor as possible from the sendbacks and mask the rest with chocolate flavoring and send it back out.

Some flavors resisted the chocolatizing, including black raspberry. Therefore, the plant had hundreds of gallons of choco-raspberry they told me Da to dispose of. Now, we were kinda living on fried bologna & bean sammiches in those days, so Da got the bright idea of pouring the batch into 5-gal icecreamparlor tubs and hiding em in the back of the freezer. For at least a year and a half, Fridays meant a new tub of chocorasp to dispose of as quickly as possible. Weekends were wonderful in our house...

ETA: it amazes & delights me that the two flavors are actually a thing now

BestJust about any nut.

WorstBacon (go #### yourself with this)

Worst - beer
I once- with the thought that beer predated root-beer- had the idea* of making a beer-float. root-beer floats are fantastic, so this must also be fantastic since beer is that much better than root-beer.

it's not. it's really, really not.

*I was falling down high off my ###

Best: peanut butter (and banana)

worst: eating dessert at ChiefD's house when he brings out tiny little thimble sized chocolate cups, filled with cream. When asked where he got the cups, he says he molded them himself using tempered chocolate. When further pressed for what he used to mold the chocolate, he giggles like a little girl.

I actually witnessed a morning show where some "chef" made a steak covered in chocolate. Talk about screwing up both dinner and dessert at the same time.
