I had no QB this week (Grossman, Brees, Garrard) so it's going to be a nailbiter. I have 90.7 so far with Houshmanzadeh, Welker, Sammy Morris, and Maroney to go. I am praying for a big game from a couple of those guys.

Agreed. With all the firepower in tonights game, and the low scoring by several players in general, I would almost take +10 points to the bank. +15 wouldn't be out of the question. There were a couple of +10 MNF's IIRC last year.

Apart from drafting a fairly mediocre team that has been just getting me through each week (143.68 average), does it make sense to use your last remaining few dollars of the salary cap to load up on kickers to ensure you happen to use the one that "goes off" for the week? Could this possibly help in cumulative points if you make it to the finals?
It's possible that I just got lazy at the end and didn't want to rejuggle my picks, but this is the strategy I took -- instead of wasting $3 on worthless receivers (which I did anyway with Lloyd). So far through week 4, my cumulative kicker points was 16pts more than my best kicker's points.
Any thoughts? Seemed logical at the time, but so did spending $3 on Lloyd as I mentioned earlier...

I'd rather have spent my $3 on an extra RB like Sammy Morris or WR like Wes Welker, who have both contributed to my team in all 4 weeks so far.

I feel better having gotten Northcutt for $1 (good for a 6.2 boost in week 2) and Welker for $3 (a bunch o' extra points) and Eric Johnson for $1 (esp if Heap is really hurt now). I don't think getting the extra 4 point per week for a kicker is enough to make a difference over the long haul. I know that late last year some guys that I thought were total stiffs (and were most of the year) suddenly bailed me out late.

Yeah, you guys make good points. Better off with the high risk, high reward (for the same few bucks) than a few measely points each week... I don't suppose spending bigger bucks on Lee Evans, Chris Cooley and Fred Taylor helps much either... Well, there's always next year...
Well, I managed to survive another week with AJ hurt, Cadillac out, and Brandon Jackson MIA. Since I only have two RBs even playing now (Adrian Peterson - Min, DeShaun Foster) I think I can stick a fork in this contest unless my massive number of wide receivers manage to keep performing miracles each week.
