How about this for being "saved":Leonard Popedjjosee said:Phil Dawson 17.00 Minnesota Vikings 20.00 Wow, saved by these two players.
10.5 ptsAnd I only took him because he was a $1 TE that filled my roster spot of 22 and gave me a 2nd TE when VDavis was out...LOLWow.3 Staff members (MT, Brown & Maki) bite the dust on the first cut.
It's a shame you staff guys can't win anything..If I win it all I'm gonna buy all FBG's staff a palm held Cam-corder and a ticket to a Pats game.5 staff in the top 10% (179.3 or higher)Pasquino, Tefertiller, Fazio, Wood, and Stuart.I'm way down at 159.50, which was in the upper 35th percentile: 3540-ish. If I counted correctly, there are 12 staff members in the top-third, and 8 more in the top two-third. Only four staff in the bottom third and three eliminated. I don't think that is too bad considering the eggs laid by so many of the top fantasy players.

losing 3 out of 26 is one more than could be expected however

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the cutline is at the wrong place. There are 23 entrants with the following message:<---- STAFF MEMBER. THIS SCORE DOES NOT COUNT TOWARD DETERMINING THE CUTOFF.Since the cut is at 10,000 this week, with 23 not counting, shouldn't the cut be at 10,023?I'm above the cut, but just pointing this out in case a "legality" issue arises....
Don't see how this isn't correctYou'll notice that the staff members aren't assigned a ranking number if you look closely. They don't count in the 10,000 person cutoff.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the cutline is at the wrong place. There are 23 entrants with the following message:<---- STAFF MEMBER. Brees us my guy too, Garrard getting named starter just before the cutoff allowed me to go from Harrington to Garrard for a few less dollars and upgraded another position. Garrard is a real steal for the price.Well, my strategy of buying lots of bargains and using the extra $ on Steven Jackson worked out great. So did spending the big bucks on Drew Brees. Maybe next year.
That will get you through the eliminations, but will it be enough to win it all? Or, are you better off with a team like mine that only scored 154 this week because LT did zip, but has the ability to post top 10 (or higher) numbers when he does produce? The real secret to this is stockpiling depth at RB and WR. My team has been very consistent from week one to week two at 170 points each week. I have deep RB's and deep WR's and different players have helped me both weeks. In looking at the teams eliminated, most blew their wad on Tomlinson and did not protect themselves for bad weeks. That was their downfall. I think you do not need studs at any position as long as you get consitent players. Thats the key.
#2 overall ....nuff said.

Basically the same for me - went from 8xx to 55xxMy big buys were Alexander and Fitzgerald - somehow I managed to roll in around 5500 this week. Garcia, Bruce and the Minnie D headlined for me this week. And RUDI, RUDI, RUDI.If Alex/Fitz don't start showing some life, I wont make it past week 8 (again)Still alive...week 1 inside top 1000...week 2 inside top 5000
Note that Terftiller was in the bottom 10% last week and only made it because there was no cut.Interesting note: Two of the three eliminated staff entries had 5 QBs on their rosters.5 staff in the top 10% (179.3 or higher)Pasquino, Tefertiller, Fazio, Wood, and Stuart.I'm way down at 159.50, which was in the upper 35th percentile: 3540-ish. I'm not sure they track the overall standings during the elimination weeks. So I can see my week 2 results, but how do I see the overall standings?

rew BreesLaurence MaroneyMy favorite sleeper:Chris Henry- I think Henry could be a fantastic value if my team survives past week 8. Seeing bad the Cincy D is, I think there will be plenty of targets for Henry once he comes back from suspension. That is pretty solid, but I think only 4 RBs will hurt him eventually. He could have traded a K for Tony Hunt. I also wouldn't have put that much into the Ds, but it may work out great.Have you seen the team that finished 1st this week? ROCK SOLID. I totally agree about Henry - if you look at his projected numbers and multiply them by 2, his value should be in around the low 20s or so. Quite a bargain for $3 or whatever it was.Tony Hunt for $1 - bustaroo so farMy best buys:Lamont JordanWes WelkerDavid GarrardIsaac BruceWorst buysWho do folks think were the best bargains on their team so far?rew BreesLaurence MaroneyMy favorite sleeper:Chris Henry- I think Henry could be a fantastic value if my team survives past week 8. D Rhodes is looking like $ I'd have been better off shreddingGarrard has been nice - I think he's the "floor" for many teams at the QB position.-QGShould be interesting in Week 5, though. Palmer, TJ, Rudi, Jordan, Wade & Vikes D all on bye. Better hope Manning and Wayne go nuts that week. This entry is still alive.![]()
