No condias or mbombs or jigandreel types.
The 50/50 had only one player with triple digit wins.
I think the heavys avoid these contests. When the game tonight is over, I'll post the lowest score that was "in the money" in the 50/50... I'm guessing it will be around 100.
This could entirely be a symptom of this week though.

Currently 16th in the $15K Sunday Rush #2...need to fade Seattle D and possibly lynch, but don't see him played too much in the first 9-10 pages on the standings. Eli Manning pretty much ruined any chance at a top 10 finish.

I find myself regularly finishing ahead of condia in 50/50's but that mbomb dude consistently kicks my ###. The total wins stats on our profile is nice but would love to see a winning percentage too.

My 1pm only lineup incl Calvin outscored my regular lineup by 40 points 
Need about 25 from Lynch to turn a 60% loss into a 30% loss :(
I am really having a hard time picking D and K. In a couple HTH I got outscored by 20-30 at tbose positions combined. And this is with me devoting $ there (KC)

I've been sticking with Bailey at PK for the most part because he's been 5000 or 5100 every week. Moving up to 5600 this week so time to find a new option. I remember last year people saying this was a bad strategy because you want your QB to score TDs, and if they do your kicker is just kicking EPs. But in your case, you sorta hedged your QB and it worked out. The only time I've been pairing QB and K is when it made sense in a Primetime contest (only 3 NFL games), or was forced upon me in a Primetime.
I finally managed to hit with the Bengals & Bailey, but I still finished right over .500. I went into the last game with Lacy needing a few points to make it a decent day, but every time he got points the whole league benefited. I should have had a monstrous week as I won nearly every game I was in on Thursday with the lineup I posted on my blog (about $5,000 worth of action). I still felt super strong with it, but decided to hedge with Eli, RG3, and Brees lineups. Some did pretty good and some were awful. My Sunday action was a net loser, but I think I will end up a few thousand up for the week.

Last minute I took out the Bengals D, and put in the Packers D just to change it up a little in a tourney. It is going to cost me like 600 bucks

I had Stafford, Calvin, Bengals D and Jamal Charles and still sit at 195/7000 in a tourny. I imagine after Lynch goes off tonight, it will put me out of the money. Fun first week though.. now I know to play some 50/50's along with the boom or bust tournaments.

Just took a quick glance at where I stand and I'm probably going to lose most of what I wagered this week. Entered $352 and will be lucky to get $50 of it back after tonight. Just an absolute disaster of a week. I knew it would be, too, I had a bad feeling all week but didn't trust my gut and will end up giving back the last couple weeks worth of gains. Ugh. Oh well, weeks like this are to be expected, I learned a few more lessons and I'll be back in 100+ contests again this week to hopefully right the ship.

Have you been doing any of the $109 or higher contests? I did two this week and both had the weakest competition I've seen thus far. Wondering if this is an aberation or if you've seen the same.

Pretty good week here, all in all. I know no one wants to read about how I did but I'm gonna post it anyway. Feel free to skip it. A bit of a heartbreaker coming close in several tourneys to making a good week great. Thought I had one going with this lineup:

If you saw the Green Bay game you'll understand how this could have been much better. It started right before the end of the half, when GB was getting the ball back with 1:30 to go. Then a return TD ended that. Oh well got a whole second half with Rodgers and Nelson. They proceded to combine for about 5 points in the second half including a Rodgers run to the 1 foot line where he was pushed into the end zone, but the play was blown dead. Then later a slant completed to Nelson at the 1 foot line.
Then this lineup did well in another tourney:

I made the same dumb move as last week (H Douglas then) making Sunday morning changes and pulled Kenny Stills out of 10 of the 15 lineups I had him in. Only left him in the Thursday lineups because I had to. Made that genius move based on the fact that Graham and L Moore were playing. Maybe next week when I get cold feet with a guy I'll post on here who I'm pulling from my lineups, and you guys can pounce on him.
Overal went 28-18 in H2H, had P Manning in 80% of these. Placed in those 3 tourneys above, broke even on 3-10 man leagues.

About a 35% return this week. On to week 9, and good luck to all of you. I want to see someone in here win the Bomb!

Didn't watch last night's game but whatever happened, the week ended up better than I anticipated. I only ended up losing $150 as opposed to the $300+ I expected to lose. On to week 9!

I pick my #1 lineup each week and it usually wins. When I start mixing and matching other lineups that's when I start losing more. But I still never submit the same exact lineup twice. Need to rethink this.

Same here. When I go with my first instinct I have done very well. I usually set a lineup on Wed or Thu but end up tweaking it on Saturday after reading FBG projections and the on the daily page from Dodds and Tremblay.
I had Brees, Bailey and Cincy's defense on a ton of initial lineups and changed a lot of them to Eli or RG3, Henery and KC's defense after reading Dodds. I won on the lineups I left alone in all 50/50s. But thems the breaks. I guess the moral of the story is to trust your initial instincts.

I think I was 2-12 week 2 and lost 1/2 my bankroll. If you play a smaller portion of your bankroll each week it is still probably a winning method. I have left money on the table most other weeks due to this.
However, it saved me this week since my main lineup had RG3, Lynch, Decker and KC.
The backup lineups saved my butt, $95 wagered, $45 won, loss of $50.

WR: Nelson, T. Williams, S. Johnson, TY Hilton, Allen, Wright, Moore, - a lot of good lower priced WRs this week

Funny, I was just doing a mock lineup and had VERY similar thoughts.
As far as Gonzo what scares me is he is seeing double coverages SOOO much now that most teams can basically single cover our weak wideouts. I'm staying away from him for now. I wasn't a Reed believer but I am changing my toon now.

75% on 50/50s last week (9 of 12). Lynch hurt my 2 Primetimes that are still live, so the heavy Thurs entries might catch me, but Tate saved 1 of those. Likely split there, so looking like 10/14 final number with a poss of 11/14. Slowly ramping up the plays and the winnings...probably means I'm due for a bad week.

Very similar list to mine. Another very cheap WR I see with upside is Heyward-Bey. He's taking Wayne's starting position and I assume Hilton will see the better coverage. Even though he hasn't produced much Amendola is very cheap too. Just a matter of time before Brady, Gronk, and Amendola are all on the same page and clicking.

Did very well in the Thursday fades this past week, much better than my regular Sunday lineups. Probably going to go heavy on that again -- with the exception of AJ Green, I don't see any major options for that TNF. Also there might be a lot of people chasing points for Marvin Jones and his 4 TDs this past week. Miami should struggle against that Cinci D.

Does anyone else not like how the 50/50s decrease in the number of total entries as the money goes up?
$5 = 50 entries
$10/25 = 20
$50+ = 10
I like the bigger groups because there are sure to be more random deadbeats. If you get up to just 10 teams, there's a much better chance of not winning $ despite having a good score due to increased variance.

Yep...they do the same thing for NBA and NHL.
NBA -
$1 = 50
$2 and up = 20
NHL -
$1 = 50
$2 = 50
$5 and up = 20
I really don't get the NBA setup. Their response to me last year when I questioned it was that they contest creators didn't think the higher stakes games would fill up enough or something stupid like that.

I assumed they based the number of entries per price level based on demand. Fanduel shouldn't care how many people are in a 50/50 as they get 10% of the total pot whether it's 10 people., 20 people. or 70 people.

I'd assume they've put a lot of thought (and probably trial-and-error testing) into their contest structures and roll out schedules. Why are there only X 50/50s on the homepage at any one time? If they put more than X, maybe they don't fill up quickly enough. If they put less than X, maybe it frustrates the more active participants who don't want to be checking back on the site every 15 minutes to enter new contests. If you make all the 50/50s 50-person contests, then if there are 40 people who want to play on Sunday, there's no contest (and Fanduel gets no rake). If you make them 20-person contests, then all 40 people get to play and Fanduel doesn't leave any money on the table. I'm sure they've carefully calibrated things in an attempt to maximize participation across all fee levels and contest types.

I think the 25 and 50s are way harder than the 109s. I plan on running the numbers regarding buy in entries and expectations soon, but it could be next week as this week is getting crazy for me
