FDuel Week 11 (2 Viewers)

Sticking with Kaep at QB, I am rolling out the Charles/McCoy combo, going cheap at TE (Gates/Celek) and hoping sells out to stop Jimmy which should chop half the field.

Assuming they do...rolled the dice with Colston.

Good luck all!

I have Charles in 3 of 9. One is a head to head where the other guy has him too. One is a $5 tournament where he is 66% owned, and one is a 50/50 where is is 50% owned and The only other guys I had active in this game were Hilton and Bowe.

Overall, it probably works in my favor. I hope they win and he's back next week. Great dude, sucks to have that happen to him.

Ideal lineup thus far is Luck, Hilton, Bowe, and Succop. Maybe Fleener.

Didn't have Succop or Fleener, but had the other 3 mixed in. Bowe or Hilton in 8 of 9 and both in 2. Luck in 3of 9, mostly went Bree's though.

A lot could happen still obviously but I feel pretty good about beating the rake again.

I have Brees in like 7 of my 9 contests.

I just can't see NOT doing that. Top QB against the 32nd pass defense. Its worth the money imo.
Brees away from home and playing in cold weather scares me. He only had 12 TDs in 8 road games this year.
Wish I'd listened here. Luck was my other choice at the end of it.
Had Luck, Hilton, Bowe, and Succop after the first game in the 90K contest. Sproles, Jimmy,Shady, DJax, and Bengals D doing absolutely nothing.

Oof, lost $46 today ;)

Glad I pulled the majority of my funds out prior to this weekend. I won a few, and it seemed like my best scoring lineups were in places of little to no value. I broke 140 in a $2 head to head and in the Silver freeroll (for $0 in prizes). Then I just missed in a few 50/50s with scores in the 120s. Only big win was a double up.

My fault for riding Brees and Cincy so hard. All of my WRs were gangbusters this weekend though, usually that spells a win since they're the most volatile. I can't believe I lost in a 50/50 with Hilton, Bowe, and Marvin Jones all going off, but I managed to do it with just pure patheticness elsewhere. Plus 80% of that 50/50 had Hilton completely mitigating him.

Weird weekend.

I'll try again with my remain funds next weekend, then its all over, right? They do pre-season? That would be lol-tastic.

Managed to go 4 for 4 in double ups and 1 for 1 in a 50/50. Kaepernick and Gore pulled it out for me. Luckily I played Hilton also and Charles was owned by 50% of the players in all of them otherwise there is no way I make it. It was definitely a very wierd weekend.

100% this week.

7 for 7 on 5050s and won a 6 teamer vs buddies. Scores between 121 and 158.

Diversified more than I had planned going into the week, but I guess it didn't really matter. Played Hilton, MarvinJ, and McCoy in 100% of lineups, 6 times Graham at TE (Davis x2) and Gore at RB2 (Charles x2), mixed and matched WR3 (Bowe, Crabtree, Boldin, Colston), QB (Kaep, Smith and Dalton), K, and D.

Ended up +$50 on FD and a couple hundred on my 2 other sites. I had Hilton in EVERY single lineup so that helped. I also had Jimmy in every lineup too, so got away with that luckily. Late move on another site switching Griffen with Marvin helped. Sproles underperformed (had in 100%) but had McCoy over Charles in most lineups. I think I lucked out including some nifty overlays.

Getting in the positive this weekend is going to make me throw even more into this coming weekend as it's the last weekend to do so with 4 games still on tap.

Without prices I'm thinking about Luck, D. Williams (if Stewart is still out), Donald Brown (NE RB Def blows and Richardson sucks), Crabtree (#1 receiver, he's emerged more than Boldin), and Edelman. I'm really interested in seeing prices of Welker. Then if I can fit Jimmy/Prater/Seahawks D I'll be happy.

Going to have to search hard for bargains at WR and RB this week because the cheapest starting QB is Rivers at $8000. If Steve Smith is able to play, he could be a bargain at $4500, but they don't play until Sun so going to be taking a big chance.

I think you have to go Peyton this week, and find the bargains elsewhere.

The way the QB prices are looking, I have to agree with you. $11500 for Manning or $10000 for Luck is a no brainer. The other possibility could be Brady at $9000. Just not liking the other QB matchups. It will probably come down to who hits on the cheap players and who misses so I may hold back a little bit this week unless I get a good feeling about someone. However, the way this season as gone at times for me, I will tell you who I feel good about so you can stay away from them.

Peyton's two games with the fewest amount of yards came against the Chargers. Also his track record of mediocrity in the playoffs scares me. Russell Wilson seems like the safest option to me. He's also pretty cheap compared to the rest.

Outside of a few players at prices I like R. Wilson, D. Brown, and Edelman, I think this week is going to be mostly stay away unfortunately. If I do play I'll also look at Hilton, Crabree, Prater and fill in my lineup elsewhere. I will say this, my beginner lineup is pretty solid so I might play some in that salary cap. I'll try to find some overlay (not likely on FD but some other sites), but other than that I'll be looking at a starting balance of 1k that got profited to 3k on FD this year. Good chatting with you all this season.

Went very heavy on them, so far so good. Throw in Colston as well and it is looking good for me this week. Now I need Rivers and Allen to put some points up for me tomorrow and it could be a very good week.

Ended up going 8 for 8 this week in 50/50s and double ups. Finished tied for 3rd in a $5k tourney with 2 other guys who ran the same lineup as me. We were .8 points from first place which would have meant $667 each instead of $258. Ironic that the last catch by D Thomas was the play that knocked us down.

Oh well, started the season putting the $75 in, pulled $200 out at the end of the regular season leaving $80 in and will close out the year with $346 still in. Might dabble a little in basketball and baseball, but will probably keep most of it in for next year.

It has been fun tracking this thread and everyone's progress this year and I look forward to doing it again next year.

Good God, the worst lineup I have ever submitted was in my rotation this weekend. #215/223.

Manning - 16.1

D. Brown - 7.1

Woodhead - 5.4

Decker - 4.2

Tate - 1.8

Ginn Jr - 12.4

J. Thomas - 8.6

Vinatieri - 8

Colts - 0

Total - 63.6

Didn't feel good about this week but still played $10 in tournies and $15 on 50/50's. Probably 11 $1 50/50s and 2 $2 50/50s across all three salary caps as I keep searching for that perfect lineup. Went 1-10 in the 50/50s for my worst week of the year. Had been wagering $50-70 a week so I'm thankful I didn't try for one last hurrah. Finished 89th in one tourney for $15 to cover most of the losses.

Started with $4 this year and built it up to $300 over the year mostly grinding. I did deposit $100 late in the year to get the FD bonus in the subscriber contest which netted me $30 more. Roughly $20 to the good this year.

I may be back next year. Seems like you can win at this but the 10% rake is a killer to overcome.

Anyone else surprised to see them doing NFL contests this weekend? Thought Fanduel required 3 games minimum to run a contest. Can't pass up another Sunday of rake.

7/9 on 5050's this week. Account at all time high and was pretty happy last night ending the season like I did. Not sure I want to play this weekend but I'll have to get in some action!

They've done it in the past as I recall. Too big of a weekend for them to pass up.

I think Seahawks Defense the only defense you can play. I also feel Julius is the only tight end you can play. Montee Ball is too cheap to pass up as well. Plug in the rest and hope for the best.

I ended up going 29/30 in 50/50's and H2H with the only loss being my $2 tourney bid. 2nd week in a row I guess I should have entered more :) This week looks a bit tough. I'm thinking of using NE WRs, SEA D, Brady, Moreno, then filling in the rest. With that DEN CB going down for the rest of the year (I read the QBR with him in the game was 20-something, w/o him in the game it was 90-something), I think NE throws a bunch. Brady has ridiculous numbers versus Jack del Rio led defenses too.

:goodposting: I will probably go pretty light this week because it has stinker written all over it, but I will probably throw a couple entries out the for one last scratch of the itch.

My first run thru I was not comfortably fitting in SEA D. Last week I had the same issue and I ended up playing the Colts in most of my 5050s. They scored zero, but I still came out just fine. I think one of the factors that took my account from a losing number all the way back to more than doubling up is that I started playing higher priced defenses with the best matchups, sometimes ignoring matchup, from Nov forward. Problem with these playoff weeks are there isn't as much value to choose from and the best players are really skyrocketing in price. I'm sure it can be done, and I'll try to figure it out when I have more time, but I'm certainly sure I'm not going to sacrifice say Edelmen just to get SEA D. Playing Julius which is a must, along with a high priced QB (since they all are), makes things difficult. Thoughts?

Here is my first run through:

QB Tom Brady
NE @ DEN
RB Shane Vereen
NE @ DEN
RB Frank Gore
SF @ SEA
WR Julian Edelman
NE @ DEN
WR Percy Harvin
SEA v SF
WR Michael Crabtree
SF @ SEA
TE Julius Thomas
DEN v NE
K Steven Hauschka
SEA v SF
D Seattle Seahawks
SEA v SF
Of course will depend on Harvin being able to play. Tate could be the other option. I tried to get Lynch or Moreno in there, but made the WR group pretty brutal.

I like this for the most part but am concerned with Gore/Crabtree. Trying to get as many players in the Den/NE game I get this

Manning - Den more likely to score TDs in the air

Vereen - I think it's his week to be a big part of the game plan

Ball - Has consistently been getting carries. Gore's downside lower than Ball's

Amendola - Expecting a high scoring game.

Edelman - Has been money

Harvin - Even it's a tough Sea D, he'll get some runs and smoke routes

Thomas - Only TD worth anything

Prater - Hopefully he doesn't score much as Manning/Ball rack up pts

Sea D - Can't pass on them at home

Thanks again Steeler for the bookmarklets. They are quite handy.

I'm going to stop at 8 contests. Just seven 5050s and one 5-man with friends for this final weekend.

I had a Moreno+Ball lineup but scrapped it. Hoping people are paying for Lynch, Moreno, and Blount.

QB Tom Brady NE 75.00 6 of 8
QB Peyton Manning DEN 25.00 2 of 8

Wasn't going to play at all this week, then I decided I would play 1 or 2 contests, then my addict came out and I ended up playing 7. I went 3 for 3 in double ups, 2 for 2 in 50/50s and finished 5th and 9th in 2 lucky sevens for a $75 profit.

I have tried to dabble in the NBA side, but it seems to be rough so I think I will be pulling everything out until next year. Is it August yet? :hifive:

profited $90 doing 2 entries of same lineup in a $5, 15k tourny. brady, moreno, vereen, dt, edel, tate, jt, hau, sea. was lynch, baldwin, prater away from $1k

thats beginner salary, did similar last week profiting $60

Won everything...once again PLAY MORE! lol Good season all!

Edit: The only team that came close to not cashing was the Amendola (stiff) + Vernon lineup. Anyone have some top scores from the big tournys?

ended up playing 30 matchups again and won 29 of them again. had brady/moreno/vereen/edelman/julius in every lineup. played mostly beginner's salary cap which let me have DT in my lineups too.

Ended up going 4-1. When Harvin was a scratch I ended up dumping him for Baldwin. With the extra cash I did some other downgrades at QB, K, and D to get in DT for Amendola.

Went 16-0 this past Sunday with the following lineup:

QB: Tom Brady

RB: Frank Gore

RB: Shane Vereen

WR: Julian Edelman

WR: Anquan Boldin

WR: Doug Baldwin

TE: Julius Thomas

PK: Matt Prater

DEF: Seattle

Total Score: 121.98

Breakdown:

3 $5 50/50

4 $10 Double Ups

3 $10 Triple Ups

4 $5 Double Ups

2 $5 Triple Ups
