FDuel Week 11 (1 Viewer)

The matrix thing is cool but it seems like odd timing, since just a couple weeks earlier they introduced the ability to create multiple head-to-head contests at once. I'd have loved the matrix earlier in the year when you had to do head-to-heads one at a time. Now it just seems redundant, plus with the matrix you're forced to use the same lineup against all 20 opponents.

Some interesting mid-week developments:

-Schaub at 6500 now starting vs. Broncos, at home... could be an interesting tourney play if paired with AJ

-Stevie and EJ out for the bills.. bump Dolphins D at 5100

-Anyone thinking of starting Thad Lewis at 5300? No...

-Rueban Randle at 4500

Ben Tate put on IR, Dennis Johnson could be a great RB value.

Yeah I thought about that, but rather than adding a 3rd string RB and hoping for Asiata part 2, I think the Texans will tend to throw more. Plus, there's the chance that Denver gets away with the score and the game-script favors more passing. Schaub has been comfortable throwing a ton, and I think that's what they'll have to do.

I just entered this lineup in a $1 tourney... I hope Ii finish last  since it is my opponent's lineup in my regular league championship game.

K.Cousins

D.Murray

B.Rainey

P.Garcon (my opponent is actually starting D.Thomas, but I can't fit him under the cap).

A.Jeffery

E.Decker

A.Quarless

R.Gould

C.Panthers

Trying this one:

  • QB Jay Cutler$8,000CHI@PHI✗
  • RB Jordan Todman$5,800TEN@JAC✗
  • RB Le'Veon Bell$7,700PIT@GB✗
  • WR Josh Gordon$9,500CLE@NYJ✗
  • WR Brandon Marshall$8,500CHI@PHI✗
  • WR Da'Rick Rogers$5,200IND@KC✗
  • TE Garrett Graham$5,000DEN@HOU✗
  • K Caleb Sturgis$5,000MIA@BUF✗
  • D Baltimore Ravens$5,100NE@BAL✗

Is it standard practice to use your exact quintuple up lineup in a double up to hopefully break even at worst? Or even a 50/50, better odds to cash, but you'd lose the juice..

Todman alert, MJD looking like he's playing. Todman is heavily featured in my lineups. I guess Rainey will pick up most the slack but I don't want to be that heavy on Rainey so need to figure something out. Deangelo is down there...Sproles good for 10 is real cheap....

D.Williams looks like a good start to me. Here are the fantasy points accumulated by the TOP RB in these weeks (non-ppr scoring) against NO when NO is on the road. The NO rush D is much less formidable on the road.

week 15 @STL(20.3)
week 13 @SEA( 7.1) -- but all back combined for 123 and a TD
week 9 @NYJ(19.9)
week 6 @NE (23.0)
week 5 @CHI( 9.5)
week 2 @TB (14.4)

I built my lineup around McCoy, this week. He did great in horrible weather against DET a few weeks ago. Kinda feel like he'll be avoided which should help a bit.

C. Kap

McCoy

Sproles

Jeffery

Crabtree

K. Allen

J. Thomas

Suisham

PIT D

I'm extra heavy on McCoy too. Him and Bowe are in 100% of my lineups. Everyone else is about 50%. Expecting big things from both.

Can cash about $200 in the big $25 tournament with 20 points from Dawson and SF D Monday night.

Still have McCoy running, took a flyer with S Moss as a low owned tournie entry or it could have been a real good payday with Murray and Decker......doh

Beat week ever. Went all-in with $55. Down $195 on the year (used $200 for the million dollar tournie a few weeks ago so basically I feed the rake every week).

Won a 3 man and 5 man winner take all, and a double up for $56. Lost a $10 tournament.

Had $25 in the 13,375 player Bomb. The pick 6 got me from 2 points out of the money to $125 winner. The INT on the final hail mary won me another $25.

$55 wagered. $206 won. Only $44 down.

So, teams are fighting for playoff spots/byes this weekend? Obviously target players in those games, maybe mix in some cheap guys getting a opportunity for the first time?

Rueben R a solid bargain for $4500 against the skins.

I got in a ten man $109 league with just 1 uber player in it. 8 other players have less than 100 wins between the lot of them. Crazy.

Cashed 9/10 5050s and won a 5-person. I'll definitely be looking to take advantage of certain plays this week and still seeing alot of low win opponents in these contests.

Here is my first run at week 17:

QB Nick Foles
PHI @ DAL
RB Eddie Lacy
GB @ CHI
RB DeAngelo Williams
CAR @ ATL
WR DeSean Jackson
PHI @ DAL
WR Keenan Allen
SD v KC
WR Julian Edelman
NE v BUF
TE Martellus Bennett
CHI v GB
K Alex Henery
PHI @ DAL
D Miami Dolphins

I agree, this could be a very productive week. A lot of value plays out there on teams that still have plenty to play for.

Well I crashed and burned. Took a $100 deposit up to $460 and then fell back to $350, then $100 this week. Profits erased.

You guys seem to be doing well, so that contradicts my opinion that the easy money got out around the same time the fantasy playoffs started up. The last two weeks I've tried to cherry pick $25, $50 and $109 50/50s, mostly in either expert or beginner, based on low wins. In many cases my ~150 wins were the highest, and in almost all cases there were only 2-3 players with more than 100 wins.

Now there's nothing to lose (except, well, all of my money)... week 17 last shot at some profit? They've got to have games running during at least the first 2 weeks of the playoffs over wildcard and divisional championships, right? Only the NFC-AFC championship weekend has 2 games, so I'm thinking there's 3 more weeks left.

Gonna be some good values this week especially knowing the teams that need to win and players getting a chance. Had another good week this past week on daily sites with every lineup having some combo of AJ Green/Garcon/McCoy.

Fanduel will have games through the playoffs probably up to the AFC/NFC championship like they did last year at the very least.

Go with Brees and Jimmy Graham. I will include them 2 in every game this week. Also if you can pick the right Denver receiver one of them will dominate if not both. Peyton will look to extend that TD record. I feel Kniles Davis is a a cheap back to throw in. I don't see JC playing this weekend. If you can afford Peyton do it but I think Brees' numbers will be close to his. Peyton needs 278 years for the record so you know he will get that and I say at minimum 3 tds. Good luck to everyone this week.

Just a question for a newbie at these Daily games. In GPP play I understand the main objective is to have 70% of your roster with guys that have low cost but high upside and in 50/50 league play you want to have high upside guys with relatively high cost like a McCoy, Graham, etc..

Is it practical to have a objective in GPP games to set your roster at 3 players of high cost like a McCoy, Graham, etc.. and then backfill the rest with players that are mid to low range cost? I'm trying to understand the format a little better and would like your feedback from vets that have been doing this a while.

Thx.

Crushed it again last week. Unfortuantely did have time to play many games and only went 5 for 6.

Anyone have a short list of teams to avoid in week 17 if they are essentially locked-in to their playoff spots?

Chiefs.... anyone else?

Every other team will play their starters the full game. Some teams that are mathematically eliminated may get some subs a little work. Looking over all the games and doing some research I truly believe the Chiefs and maybe Megatron and AP are the only situations I'd avoid. Try to play some player that are going for records. Antonio needs 12 catches to break Hines' record. If Haden sits out I think he has a good shot to get it. Peyton needs close to 300 yards to beat Brees' single season record. I fully expect him to get that. I also believe he will try to extend the TD record. He understands it's a passing league and will look to get 4 or 5 more at the least. Also they have to win the game because New England plays at the same time as Denver. ARod is playing now look for Jordy to have a big game, I also hear Cobb may play. Keenan Allen needs about 50 yards to set the Chargers rookie record. I feel this week is a great week to win money over the less experienced players as long as you do your homework. Good luck to everyone this week.

Good stuff here.

I would add this about 2 games:

JAX/INDY - I am calling for an upset here for the Jags to not just cover the big number but to win. Indy can rest starters knowing that they get KC at home, a team they just beat in KC. JAX is playing well of late and wants to finish strong. I wouldn't trust INDY starters.

SD/KC - The one game that hinges on early results (if NYJ beat MIA, SD has something to play for - else they are out I believe). Be careful with SD players. I know KC will rest starters, but SD may be eliminated before kickoff.

Indy can still get the 3 seed if Cincy loses. They both play at the same time so I don't see Indy laying down. Even if SD is eliminated before their game starts I don't see that changing their gameplan.

I honestly don't believe Indy wants the 3 seed nearly as much as they want the week off, and they already have a good game plan for KC. Moving to the 3 means they play any of 4 teams (BAL, SD, MIA, PIT) and have to install a new game plan, rather than dust off last week's for KC.

I understand they just beat KC at their house but there is no way Indy would rather play KC than Miami. I know Miami isn't in yet but they have the most likely scenario to get in. I feel that KC is a much much better team than Miami.

I built a $280 bankroll from $50 this year mainly playing 50/50s and Double ups. I pulled out $200 this week and am going all in with the remaining $80. Playing in more big Tourneys this week than I normally do so we will see how it goes and if I have any money left to play the playoffs if I feel like it.

Buying out of Cutler. I was pretty heavy on Cutler and Foles (and Cam in my 1pms), but something just doesn't feel right about the Bears game to me. Between the weather and threat of being pulled in a must win game (or hurt if he's taking hits like last week) it's not worth the risk with all the contests I had him in. I'll go with my gut here. Pretty easy to get to Cam and Ben without major changes.

Heavily invested in Foles, McCoy, Seahawks D, LaFell.

Gotta make some profit on the season after crashing back down to my Week 4 investment last week.
