Mods probably don`t even get paid so do you expect them to spend countless hour monitoring every post.  In reality now the only thread that needs it is the Trump thread. That  turned into a grease fire months ago.

The inconsistency and bias in the moderation is pathetic.  I can get endlessly attacked and nothing happens.

90 percent of responses to anyone saying anything remotely against the Trump/Republican-hate get met with personal attacks.  But yet the endless foolish behavior is tolerated/encouraged by the lack of action.  It has to be responded to and escalate before anything gets done.  And it is rarely the instigator who gets nailed.   Unprovoked attacks calling people stupid ignorant bigots is perfectly fine here.
I don't follow the political threads that much, but hasn't Tim gotten nailed recently more than any other regular poster?

I don't think you can really argue against the traditional Republican position here. That is, when there's a minority group (like these Trump supporters on a message board) and it appears there's a disparate impact against them from some policy or set of policies - whether that's because of the policy itself or because of the way it's enforced - it's fundamentally unfair and should be changed. That's just the American way.  And, again, clearly a Republican positition that would be supported by any of the posters who are concerned about these moderation issues.

Me, either. I thought he was that Beaver dude since he seems so fixated on Tim
Steve is that Beaver dude...and that Toe Cutter dude...and that Phase of the Game dude...and that Stinger Ray dude...and that FlaVVed dude...and that...

IMO, calling someone a "bigot" is not a personal attack as long as it can be supported with evidence of bigotry.

Calling someone "stupid" would cross the line, but saying "That's stupid" would not.
I agree.   I think you should call out a point you think is stupid or bigoted and support it.  But the SOP is to say "you are stupid" and not refute or even make any attempt at an arguements.   But that is ok if done by or against certain people.  There is zero consistency with how things get moderator.

I'd rather not be the example here for timeouts. I was rude; I deserved to be suspended. I thought the amount of days was excessive but that's their call; I can't complain.

I don't report other people and I have no desire to see anyone suspended. But I do have to say that the Trump thread has gotten unreadable with all of the insults going back and forth. If you don't have something substantial to add, I really wish you wouldn't post there. That goes for Trump fans and critics alike.

It's never hard to spot the Beave.
Anyone can recognize a new alias of his in three or less posts. Most of his postings are insults with or without emojis. Plus he obviously has some attention span or deficit issues and/or is lacking in reading/communication skills as he appears to have difficultly in expressing himself in a sentence of more than just a few words.

We should do this Survivor style and vote people off the island.

ETA: Not really. I still think it's funny people report stuff and complain about what other people are posting, but to each his own.

The amount of time and energy that grown men have put into being offended by a GD laughing emoji is an absolute embarrassment.

Well in his notebook everyone is.   He assumes too much and is too quick to accuse.  His notebook is also distorted with his rhetoric and muscharacterizations.  Instead of discussing the topic at hand, it turns into dragging up old irrelevant topics with personal attacks sprinkled in.  Really terrible every time he enters.

Those damn muscharacterizations - I got to be more careful about those in the future. :hophead:

Like me pigeon lover?  Still want to bet that I am an alias of another poster? You are an absolute POS poster here and a troll.  GFY.

FTR, Trump sucks donkey balls.

Actually if you weren't such a tool you would actual debate the topic at hand.  But I know better.  You always bring the pigeon poop.
I usually do, but you always respond with an ad hominem attack like you just did above, calling me a tool.
