This line makes absolutely no sense. Maryland is 14-1 and Illinois is without their leading scorer.

Oh, and every ham 'n egger at Covers has their life savings on the Terps.

Yeah, I'm struggling to make any sense of it, and I know what that usually means, but I can't get off it. Unless you think Illinois is going to better without Rice dominating the ball, which granted is possible though I think unlikely without a true PG.

They've had some good success at home this year and haven't had to travel since Dec. 6. Cal Poly can't shoot at all. Keeping in mind I don't know much about these teams it sounds like a good bet to me.

 
Can't believe I missed a 2H bet on Louisville. :wall:

They were trailing at home by 4 to a bad Clemson team. Of course, they are on a 15-0 run (and counting) to open the 2H.

Just released his plays. Only one of substance that I played right now is Bal +7.

His other leans (very minimal with respect to confidence %) which I will still play, but think I can get better lines later:

Den -7, Car +11 (all I have available is +10.5), GB -6

ETA: Don't think the GB line will move in my favor, as it's -6.5 at some shops....just didn't play it yet as it's his least confident bet

I generally don't tail "games of the year/millenium/century/ages", especially from someone at Covers, but I may need to start paying attention soon if he keeps winning.

tj, if you are bored, start at post #29 in this thread and see if you can figure out what the hell these guys are talking about with their 1H/2H stuff. Whatever they are onto, it seems to be winning.

FYI: there is a Raider guy posting in that thread. It's not me.

 
KSU was up 10 with a minute to go. I know some of us got a worse line with them being -4.5......

And ugh, that replay showed that the officiating was just :X

 
Wow, not sure i can watch this Cal-USC game. I may really have a lot of hate for this F'n Reinhardt kid on USC by the end of this game. His face is bothering me

If I am not mistaken, he blindly takes all CBB, NBA, and NFL games where the half time line is +3 and doesn't move all day. And that hits 90%. :oldunsure:

It doesn't make any sense to me. There aren't key numbers in basketball. If he specifically said football, I could maybe believe that because you know how important three and seven are - when those start changing, it's something to watch.

But three at half is no different than two or four or 10. It might be something he has gotten lucky at but really has no merit in basketball IMO.

 
Another lovely hockey night. All of my leans that I DID NOT play won. Caps won big, Bruins won AND went to OT. Rangers are up 2-0 on Ducks right now. The game I felt was the sure thing, and the only game I played, the Flames? eh, not so much. Ugh. Here are some thoughts on Thursday's Games:

Devils (+165) at Bruins-Now what? Is the win in Pittsburgh what the B's needed to turn this thing around? They have the Devils and Flyers up next before the schedule gets much harder. My numbers actually favor NJ here and a letdown on the 2nd night of a back to back off of an OT win against the mighty Pens is certainly not out of the question. I think there's value on the Devils here and I'll probably play them. I also like the OT in this game and I think you should be able to get +300.

Sabres at Canes (-200)-Yuck. My numbers call for a fairly easy win for CAR but you can't play them at that number. You could put them in a parlay if you have confidence in them. I like the under 5 (-120) here, but I'm not playing -120 on a total. Either Canes in a parlay (not likely) or PASS.

Hawks (-150) at Wild-Hawks off of a disappointing loss where they outplayed Colorado and got shutout. Wild look dreadful right now. I don't trust Chicago enough right now to play them at -1 1/2, which is where you'd need to play them so I'll pass on a side. Although the numbers don't say so, I think OVER 5 1/2 at +105 is good value here and I'll probably play it.

Sharks at Blues (-155) Blues look to be turning it around a bit and have been tough at home. I think I'll take a stab at St. L -1 1/2 if I can get +200 or better.

Stars (+145) at Preds- One of the games of the night, should be a good one. There is good value on Dallas at +145 if you feel like going against Nashville right now. I'm not comfortable going against either of these teams. I like OVER 5 1/2 at -110 and I'll probably play that.

Jets (-125) at Yotes- I have no real lean here. The only way to play it is WPG, but the line is too rich. PASS.

Sens at Avs (-140)- Another game I don't think there will be anything to do with. I like under 5 1/2, but not at -135. I also like OT here but I don't think I can get +300 on it. PASS unless I get +300 on OT.

Florida at Nucks (-160) -Numbers like Nucks here and I concur. Would like to play them at -1 1/2 at +200 or better, so hopefully I can find that. Otherwise forced to parlay them with....................Canes? CLOSE YOUR EYES.

Caps at Flyers -No line on this one yet. Caps coming off yet another impressive performance tonight in Toronto and are starting to really turn it up. Caps -1 1/2 is worth a play if you can get over +200 and if Holtby is going to be in net I think.

Rangers (+135) at Kings-Again, I just don't think you can go against the Rangers at plus money right now, even on the 2nd night of a back to back. Not sure on the total at this point. I don't know if I'll play it, but if King Henry is in net I'll probably give the Rangers a go. AGAIN.

F it, going Hawaii -4 2nd half here. Has been a bit of a tanker tonight, need my boys from the island to keep it going, did fine considering they got crushed the first 10 minutes of the 1st half
