1.3 - Adeiny Hechavarria (SS)

In a game of inconsistency, Adeiny is a welcoming combination of consistent awfulness and job security. He's pictured here popping out to the second baseman. There's plenty more where that came from, friends.
Solid pick but a deep position
Screw VBD, we're going with the "Worst Available" approach in this bad boy.

Normally spotlighting doesn't bother me this early in a draft, but in this format it's actually possible to take someone in the first round that someone else hasn't heard of.

there are many bad players and picks here, but these guys are so bad that they don't have job guarantees and could lose them for being so bad. that said, i'll take

1.06 - juan lagares, mets

strong combination of a good glove leading to ABs with little power, limited speed and that wonderful latin eye.

This is either the most unpredictable first round ever or I have no idea what I'm doing. Probably both.

1.8 John Danks, SP

Hoping he can get back to his gopher-ball form of 2013, but even a repeat of 2014 would be OK.

Either way, he seems like a safe bet to suck, keep his rotation spot and steal $14.25 million from the White Sox.

It was a pretty glorious nap, in case anyone cares. Had some sex with the wife, rolled over and was out for like 2 hours. A wonderful Mon afternoon

Ryan Howard would have struck out with your wife, rolled over, pulled an oblique and would be out for 4-6 weeks.

seriously considered the giant turd at 1.01
It was down to Howard or Morse for me. But I figured if we was playing bad enough to be worth a first rounder, the Phillies would probably just cut bait on him.

1.12 - Colby Lewis, SP

2.01 - Jordan Lyles, SP

I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I figure Colby has a rotation spot and he's terrible. As long as he doesn't break again maybe I can get 170 horrible innings. And perhaps Jordan Lyles can return to those 5+ ERAs of prior years. I figure he has a job all year anyway...I don't know.

Hmm. Never thought about going SP/SP

Seems like they're the highest scorers and finding sucky guys that will keep jobs seems hard. maybe I did that?

Sorry, there was a problem with the way the Googlesheet was calculating 2014 and 2013 fantasy points for pitchers. It has been fixed. I don't think it had any major impact on relative rankings but total scores for pitchers are now about 20-30 points greater.
