There are bad Chris Johnsons in MLB, NFL and NBA. It would be a solid 1.01 pick in UbergobblerSpartans Rule said:
Good luck with his 400PA in AAAThe great Will Middlebrooks please
First round potential if he plays enoughThe great Will Middlebrooks please
He was definitely on my radar. Managed to rank as the 28th leading scorer last year in only 215 PA, then got traded to the Padres, who play in a pitcher's park and have minimal 3B competition. The great Will Middlebrooks please
Oh man, we REALLY need some guys who sucks butts everyday14 man lineups (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OFx3, 6 P). No DL or bench slots.
12 add/drops per season.
We're doing a big-ish bench, right? Are there games played minimums per week or year?
The idea was to minimize in-season maintenance. If you're hanging out on a fantasy baseball board, you're probably in too many leagues already and SportsCenter isn't going to show Will Middlebrooks striking out and hitting into a DP.14 man lineups (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OFx3, 6 P). An NBA version of this would be interesting. There are bad Chris Johnsons in MLB, NFL and NBA. It would be a solid 1.01 pick in UbergobblerSpartans Rule said:
Seems like it would be advantageous to start guys that don't play in the format. Hope you get a couple of crappy SP outings and wa la.We're doing a big-ish bench, right? We can still increase transactions if there's unanimous agreement.
Yeah. It would be possible to have a very simplified version just with +/- numbers. Missed shots and TOs are obvious categories but the lack of a negative rebounding metric is an issue. An NBA version of this would be interesting. There are bad Chris Johnsons in MLB, NFL and NBA. It's possible that could be the shark move at some shallow positions like 1B But generally, I think the scoring weights IPs and ABs enough that you need (bad) playing time in quantity to score points.Seems like it would be advantageous to start guys that don't play in the format. It's not an advantage. Players who average positive points are better than players who average zero, even if they occasionally hit a couple HRs and go into negatives for the week.Seems like it would be advantageous to start guys that don't play in the format. There's more than two months until opening day and this is a 14 round draft.I haven't made a pick in four days. I'm making a pick today whether you guys like it or not. Up to the three guys in front of me as to whether or not it is in the correct draft order.
I'll be nice and relaxed when I submit this draft pick by COB.There's more than two months until opening day and this is a 14 round draft.I haven't made a pick in four days. Relax Nerd
Works for me.Thoughts on 2 hour clock starting at 3.01?
in favor: RnR
Do you speak for your brother?2 hour clock and the season is like 6 months away? I say we wait, or at least a 6 hour clock or something.
Well, it would allow RnR to preserve transactions a littleOops, wait, no bench.
Could be huge.Well, it would allow RnR to preserve transactions a littleOops, wait, no bench.
Sniped! If he really has that much eligibility, that's huge.
Thanks pal. He should keep his job all year, barring injury, and he should be pretty terrible at getting people out.For Frosto:
2.09 -- Jorge De La Rosa, SP - Stones
Now with links to video evidence of suck!1.12 - Colby Lewis, SP
2.01 - Jordan Lyles, SP
I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I figure Colby has a rotation spot and he's terrible. As long as he doesn't break again maybe I can get 170 horrible innings. And perhaps Jordan Lyles can return to those 5+ ERAs of prior years. I figure he has a job all year anyway...I don't know.
