Finless - RIP (1 Viewer)

I'm also saying there are parallel dimensions. As I type here on the couch I'm in one. There are layers. When you smoke deems you enter another dimension. It's not like "hey look at those trails". You are engulfed by a different dimension, physically, visually, mentally, auditorilly. It's honestly a safe drug. Inhale, hold, before you exhale fully you are transported into a state of consciousness complete with visions that is more intense that anything. But usually conscious enough to sit with friends and discuss what it is you are seeing. Watch The Spirit Molecule narrated by Joe Rogan on YouTube or Netflix...its mindblowing.
Sounds like one of the last things in the world I want to try. Have fun with that.

Never smoked salvia, never really interested in that trip. DMT is one of the most interesting chemicals on earth. No one goes nuts from DMT. a typical trip starts when I inhale and watch as my fingers grow and my skin turns to green scales. Then I am englufed by neon like lasers, all of which work in perfect geometric patterns. There is definite order to everything. For instance, if you look at the lawn in your back yard it will appear to be a bustling mechanical mini city made of gold. Complete with canals and building all geometrically perfect...just working like the inside of a fine watch. Then you may here a voice say "Mr Goat you're right where you're supposed to be, your life is an illusion, we are with you have always been with you and will always be with you." Then you may notice the sky is pink and yellow with spinning fractals and your skin has taken on the look of paint mixed with oil and water - swirling. Then you feel normal. You talk a walk through your neighborhood and everything had a fresh sheen to it. Hard drugs are the work of the devil while this stuff comes from the heavans...
Sounds more like salvia than it does Peyote, mescaline, LSD, or psilocybes (the closest things, apparently, that I've had actual experience with.) Pretty wild. I'd give it a shot.
WTF, you're the second person in this thread to flippantly say they'd try it, like "whatevs". I'm pretty well read up on the stuff (bought and read Dr. Strassman's book before there was a documentary with Joe Rogan in it) and would be scared ####less to go on that voyage. Seriously, when I was really thinking about doing it (bought some canary reed seeds even) I was equating taking that hit with putting a gun to my head and pulling the trigger... because that's basically the trip you are about to go on if you are in anyway grounded in this reality. Don't let the 10 min duration fool you... you are going to experience a lifetime worth of material in that span. And it's not like you can walk it off and splash some water on your face and be cool.

Sounds like someone had a little too much DMT.
Sounds like I want some of this stuff.
:goodposting:
I've never done a hallucinogenic and I'm too old to start trying them now.

A friend of mine from high school did one about 20 years ago (no one is sure which one he actually did) but he started tripping and never stopped. His brain is fried.

I'll pass.

I'm not a guy that's had a few Manhattans and toked a joint or two in college and is just deciding on a whim to give this a shot. I have very extensive experience with hallucinogens of various durations and intensities, I've just never come across this particular one.

Sure, why not? I have some very intense lucid dreams but I don't wake up and think they were anything other than dreams.

I don't think the two are that comparable. Pretty easy to tell your mind what you're are seeing is not real when you know you are asleep.

Would love to hear your trip report if you ever run across any though.

He was a schtickster in all his aliases but was painfully forthright about battling his demons. I hope he finds some peace now at least.

Damn it, was a huge fan BS and all. Was a smart, funny dude and his writings here were always must-read for me. ####...what a shame...RIP Fin.

One of the all-time great FBG. Very strange at times and sometimes could not tell when he was fishing, but entertaining nonetheless. RIP.

His beef with Drifter was funny. Shame he didn't post more.
I'll post what he would in his absence - "The beef was all Drifter's, I barely even remember the dude."

Shame but I'm not that surprised. Hope his last hurrah was a good one.

So was it an OD or what?
This.

Who has access to his Facebook wall? Is it public?
No info is public yet and I'm guessing it won't be if it is related to an OD.

Here's our boy: https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/1463759_10152800323944857_7868435310896192819_n.jpg?oh=663cccd4b037c5ef2c394e9fc86b5f07&oe=54E8FDE3
Not the guy with the 'heroin chic' look I was expecting.

RIP fin.

Is there a FBG memorial thread? If not, there should be.
that wouldnt mesh with the fbg policy of instead bumping every ancient thread that's related to the topic and having a disjointed memorial. we cant have new threads around here.

RIP dude.

Ugh

Had been taking some time off of FBGs when I got wind of this via email and felt implored to come back.

Fin was smart, hilarious, and had a lot of demons. Great guy in spite of his shtick here who battled for a long time. Outside of Truck, my favorite poster at FBGs and one of my favorite people.

I hope the other side is good to you Fin. Much love.

Wow. I almost didn't click on this thread.

Can someone repost what was on his FB wall?
I will always love you, man. You were a great friend and I so enjoyed your fantastic intellect, your wit, and your charm. You were seriously one of my favorite people ever and I will miss you, man. As horrible as you were to yourself you always tried to be so thoughtful of others. I have feared this for a very long time, so when I got the call I was not surprised. It is very sad to lose someone you love, but I know in my heart you are now at rest. You brought a lot of joy to many who knew you, Homie.

This sucks. RIP.

He mentioned earlier in the thread that he was in Boston, and that pic looks like it was taken at Fenway. Was he from around here?
