Hi fbg's. Anyone know of a decent way to map out a driving route with a way to see if there are road closure issues due to the flooding?
More specifically, we're planning to drive from Chicago to Memphis tomorrow, then Memphis to Dallas on Sunday. Anyone know of road closure issues along that route? We're already pushing it by tacking an additional 2 hours onto the trip home with a detour to Memphis. I'd hate it to turn into a nightmare road trip.
Then again, the alternative would be driving the route that is shorter but takes us through St. Louis. And we wouldn't get to see Beale Street, Graceland, etc. as planned.
Anyone have first hand knowledge of the situation "on the ground" in these areas, or know where I might be able to find road closure info. in real time?
