1. Who is they? My understanding is we are talking about Zimmerman and his level of potential guilt for a conspiracy to commit perjury charge. 2. And in my example I didn't say llamas and cheetos as a color for the sun either. I just gave an incorrect answer based on lack of knowledge and faulty logic and suggested it was reasonable. Unless they uncover any evidence Zimmerman discussed and/or solicited his wife to lie on the stand, you gotta let the whole perjury thing go. It's a very difficult crime to prove and the conspiracy allegation makes it even less serious of a charge. Like the prosecutors are doing, you need to focus on the murder charge.

They charged her with perjury. If they had evidence that he conspired with her they would have charged him too.

Right. And, frankly, if the prosecutors plan on offering a plea deal they'd likely charge Zimmerman with an additional perjury charge if they had even the slightest shred of evidence because it would give them one more card in their hand to play.

SANFORD, Fla. - Judge Kenneth Lester has filed a written order explaining why he revoked the bond for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Lester revoked Zimmerman's $150,000 bond at a media hearing on June 1, after prosecutors claimed he and his wife, Shellie, deceived the court during an April bond hearing.

At the hearing, Shellie Zimmerman testified that the couple had limited funds for bail because she was a full-time student and her husband wasn't working. Prosecutors say Zimmerman actually had raised $135,000 in donations from a website he created.

In his order, Lester said recorded conversations between Zimmerman and his wife at the jail "support its assertions of deception." Lester says prosecutors noted they "spoke in code to make it sound like they were talking about negligible sums of money."

Lester also says Zimmerman's unreported passport was avoided during their testimony.

"It is apparent that Shelly Zimmerman testified untruthfully at the bond hearing. The Defendant also testified but did not alert the Court to the misinformation," Lester wrote. "Most importantly though, is the fact that he has now demonstrated that he doesn't properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process."A second bond hearing has been scheduled for June 29 at 9:30 a.m. by Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara.

The way I read Zimmerman's statements he seems to want to have the money to pay bills. It seems to me he was willing to stay in jail rather than give up the money. He even tells her to not pay the bond if it's too high. There's no indication that he conspired with her to lie under oath. There's also no indication that they conspired to get the judge to set a lower bail.

Guys, if there were facts to allege that Zimmerman conspired to commit perjury they'd certainly be charged. In his conversation with his wife he is talking about the approach they are taking to pay the 150 - specifically whether to post in full or pay to a bondman. I definitely agree the judges comment in his order hurts, especially if this is his potential sentencing judge, but whether the judge believes the defendant doesn't fully respect the law is irrelevant to the trial.
