Fred Jackson's Value /Trades - Post Injury (1 Viewer)

Now that Fred is on IR and on the wrong side of 30 what are some trades you've seen for him. What do you think his value is even if you haven't seen any trades?

I traded Jackson, CJ Spillee, and Daniel Thomas for Marshawn Lynch...but its just a two person keeper. Jackson will be able to be kept for a ninth rounder.

A few weeks ago I traded a 1st/2nd and Ryan Williams for Fred Jackson.

Yep that was dumb.

If he possibly had 2 years left, that is actually a really long time in FF, but I think 1 more with more of a time-share is more realistic.

This is my gut feeling as well. People often say he doesn't have a lot of wear on his tires since he's only been in the NFL since 2006. However, he played 3 seasons of non-NFL-pro ball before that.

Jackson is just unmoveable at this point. Rebuilding teams aren't going to pay much (if anything) for him and teams trying to win it this year have no reason to rush to invest in an aging back.

Maybe he can be moved on rookie draft day or once his role in 2012 looks secure, but right now just isn't the time to do it. I'll echo a late second round pick for him.

A lot will clearly depend on how well Spiller does with his chances over the next 6 weeks. If CJ shows a lot, then we're likely looking at a true timeshare next year. If CJ falls flat on his face or gets hurt himself, and White and/or Choice doesn't do anything either, I think Fred's value stays the same from where it is now.
