Game of Thrones on HBO: non-book thread (2 Viewers)

Yeah, kinda bummed about the ending.

Pretty obvious what's going to happen next week when Dani goes to execute the Dragon-->unsullied Trade.

To put it in WWE terms, the Slave Master generates too much heel heat to live for much longer. He is definitely going to get toasted by a dragon.

Theon was captured by Roose Bolton's men. Bolton is one of the two Lords counseling Robb Stark. However Bolton lied to Robb or does not know that his men captured Theon.

Yeah, like I said. Its very obvious. They really hit us over the head with the whole "the unsullied will do ANYTHING you say once they are yours" bit. And obviously her dragons are 100% loyal to her. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together.

I know this in the non-book thread (and I haven't read this book) but I kinda wonder how the slave masters constant insults are demonstrated in the book. Assuming that chapter was told through Dani's POV, how would the reader (and in the case of the show, the viewer) know that he's constantly calling her a slut, talking about her ###, etc?

So either Bolton men are screwing with Robb, Bolton is screwing with Robb, or SOme combination was bought by The Greyjoys.

Podrick is awesome!
If you read the book you would know Pod has a 17 inch Roster.
I did read the book but it doesn't exist in this thread.
I didnt read the book.... I was going for a joke. If it turns out he has a 17 incher, then good for him and what a GREAT storyline.
In that case I can neither confirm or deny the size of pod's pod.
:o

:tebow:

Yes there is some neferious plot unfolding. By whom not sure yet. This is the point where I started to skip some chapters in the book just to hurry along the more interesting (to me) storylines.

Funny! From the show I kinda assumed that Pod's adventure was on the house at Littlefinger's behest.

Haven't read the book, but maybe she actually understands him? (I kept waiting for her to say "you know, I do speak your language")

Guess we find out next week.

The scene is coming up again now.... but I thought she understood her at the end once she freed them...

EDIT - Yup. The slave girl said something along the lines of "all men die in battle" without subtitles and Dani agreed with her and then repeated what she said and then said but we are not men.

Slave guy is going to be the marshmallow in a Dragon campfire.

valar morghulis

It wasn't the language they were speaking with the slaver. It's a saying in an ancient language spoken before the doom.

It's an old saying in Valyrian. The Targaeryans are from Valyria, but even more it's not an unknown phrase. It's what Jaqen Hagar told Arya to say to find him. Valar Marghulis, all men die. Battle isn't in there. The slaver was speaking Astaporian I believe. But I was mostly just looking at Missandei's rack. Moved right up to the top of the list over all the other GoT actresses. Hope she needs to teach Dany some more sex lessons.

The chair scene was phenomenal.

I agree, the translator is hot.

The theon scenes are very confusing. Theyre doing a poor job with those IMO unless they are supposed to be confusing.

They're supposed to be confusing. Nobody knows what happened to theon or where he is, including the audience.

great episode, really starting to pick up the stories for future episodes. Was another table setting episode, but was highly entertained.

Did anyone else not find the whole music playing in middle of the hand chopping scene a little weird? Would have liked to hear what the chopper told him and hear Jamie scream.

The give away that Dany understands the Astepor language was when she gave the slave a drink of water and he refused her. She understood him and I highly doubt he was speaking her language.

Something along the lines of "Your father isn't here, don't forget that. And here's a reminder!"
