Game of Thrones on HBO: non-book thread (1 Viewer)

Snow volunteered for the nights watch because he thought it was important and honorable. Then tyrion told him it was a bunch of superstitions and that the people of the watch were horrible criminals without honor (mostly). Then he sees there actually are wights and walkers, but the watch is friends with Craster who rapes his daughters and serves up his infant sons to the white walkers. So tea, Jon is kind if pissed and conflicted.
He volunteered because he's a ******* and has no future with the Starks. He'd rather serve with his uncle and a new family.

Because he thought it was honorable and important and he was told that the Wildlings were horrible criminals without honor. If he knew it was as ####ty as it actually is, then staying the ******* of Winterfell is infinitely better than celibately shoveling #### on a glacier. We've seen though that there are a few honorable types and that the watch is important, but because of the true sad state of the watch, it's pretty impotent to do much about it.

Well yeah. In hindsight anything would be preferable to the wall.

I thought you were debating the perceived honor of joining the Watch, sorry if I misunderstood.

So is this back on this weekend? Or is it another off week?

Also, any ideas what Jaimie will end up attaching to his stump? A full sword, a smaller blade, a shield, a fork, a hook... Easily the biggest question in the series as the season closes out What's he gonna do with that stump!?!

Finally got around to watching the most recent episode. It was better than most this season, probably since it had more of Tyrion and Joffrey, but still wasn't great. I guess this show just isn't for me. I loved season one, liked season two, but have had a tough time getting thru this season. I hope the final two episodes blow me away and get me to watch next season but I'm not sure yet.

we hope it doesn't blow you away so that we don't have to keep reading your excessive whining about it.
:lmao:

wow.

Up until maybe midway through this season I've done nothing but praise the show and ask serious questions to learn more about what is going on. Not even griping about book readers and spoilers since that doesn't bother me. Sorry if you don't like me speaking negatively about the show now that I'm not that much into it anymore.

Reading that scene was the biggest "Holy ####" moment I've ever had reading any book

And damn if the show didn't do it absolute justice...from the band playing "The Rains of Castamere" to Catelyn slowly realizing what is about to happen as the doors are closed and she realizes Roose Bolton is wearing Mail

Pretty sure twitter just blew up

cant wait for book readers topretend they are talking about stuff we were supposed to know by only watching... :)

that was awesome but ill miss robb

Agree, very well executed

I got to give myself credit.... I said out loud that something isn't right. It started when the hound started up with the "your so close" speech. And once the band played... I knew what was going to happen
