I'm so surprised this thread is only one page long and we've already seen six episodes. This is by far the best show out right now!!!!

The other thread for this show is 35 pages long, but has a lot of sniveling about how different it is from the book it's based on.

Theon reminds me of Charlie from LOST for some reason...he's a guy I want to like one week and then one I want to die the next!

Not the best actor on the show, that's for sure.

Honestly, there are a lot of weak ones...there is so much "wood" in the cast, it is like a Hayden Christiansen festival.

Had some great dialogue (Snow and the Wildling, Jaime's scenes), but was pretty slow- especially after the 6th episode, which I thought might have been the best episode of the entire series. I didn't like the ending. At first, I thought it was Rickon and Bran, but nothing added up. I think Theon let his 2nd mate kill the orphan kids and burn them so that Theon could save face with his troops by not coming back empty handed (will he try to pass them off as Rickon and Bran? Wouldn't people wonder where Hodor and Osha are? Or he is just showing how ruthless he is?) I think they could have saved that entire Theon scene for next episode and instead given us some Melissandre/Stannis/Davos or just ended it with Cat asking for the sword.

Went into the other thread and due to all the nerdrage over something being different from the books I just can't see going back in there. Really liked tonights episode, though Jon Snow needs to grow a pair.

But he took an oath! He said the words!

When he swung the sword onto the rock instead of through the girl's neck, my first thought was he should be more careful with such a nice blade.

When I replied, I thought you were referring to Jon not having the balls to bang the ginger. Now I realize you were talking about him not killing her.

I found that odd as well. No spoilers in here or use of spoiler tags. Thats all for the other thread. This thread is show only. No outside knowledge. Based on what im seeing i think the show writers are having some issues.

I think the entire viewing audience collectively groaned when the other Night's Watchmen left Jon Snow alone to kill her. As if any of us believed he was going to do it.

Also, where is his lazy ### Dire Wolf during all this? Wouldn't it be pretty easy for him to lead them back to the other men via their scent? I mean they were gone for what, like 30 minutes before Snow got done chickening out?

I'm only up to S2e2, but am I the only one that is always noticing how at least 2x an episode someone says

"NOW EVERYONE OUT" to clear the room except for 2 people? I'm thinking this has to be part of a GOT drinking game by now, no?

My only thought was that they figured Jon wanted to rape her before killing her. I know they swore vows, but I am sure years beyond the wall makes a man pragmatic about such things. Also, Jon has a reputation as he killed the Walker. Despite being young, he was considered a tough fighter and the blood of Benjen Stark.

I think the wolf just went on it's own because it wanted. The Ranger guy said, "you can't trust a wild thing." The DireWolf is from north off the wall and is perhaps returning to it's home.

Stannis left her behind after Davos suggested that if she went , everyone would think she won the battle for Stannis with witchcraft. It was the episode after Renly bit it I think.

yeah, not bad...the macro battle scenes pale in comparison to the big screen battles, but that's to be expected.I like that they ignored four of the other plot lines and just focused on one of them for an episode.

I wish this thread would catch on more for non-book readers. The other thread completely ruined this episode for me when a week ago one of the book folks mentioned that they didn't think they were doing a good enough job showing how Tyrion set everything up to become the hero of Blackwater. That pretty much gave away which side was going to win the battle which is a shame because it seemed like they were doing a great job going back and forth as to who had the upper hand throughout the episode.

Cool episode, even with the spoilers from the other thread that I won't be venturing back into. It definitely looked budget constrained (how do they make the battles look so "movie budget" in Band of Brothers and The Pacific but they can't do it in GoT?) but the intensity level was high the whole way through. The music was awesome in and really kept you on edge.

Yup, i must have missed it too, but it makes a lot of sense. Not sure if Davos survived the ships blowing up, but if he did it will be interesting to see how that dynamic plays out

Agreed with the whole accidental spoilers thing. People don't realize that something that seems pretty insignificant can ruin it for others. Other sites will have a spoilers thread where it's assumed that everyone has read at least the first few books and you can talk freely, and then another thread that is stricly for the TV show only. Don't see why that can't be done here, and it would make the other thread better too as those of us who have read the books wouldn't need to be as cautious and we wouldn't have to use spoiler tags for every other post.

Only time I really recall seeing him is at Tywin's war meetings or whatever you want to call those. Episode before last Tywin left Arya to him and instructed her to keep him from getting drunk in the evening. Then Tywin ordered him to hunt down the "Brotherhood" that he's been hearing so much about. Tywin has been referring to him as Clegane rather than the Mountain, so that may be why you're not noticing him. He's not much of a talker.

I try to skip anything that may give anything away but it is hard.

Really enjoying the last episode, nice little turn with Tyrion's own man taking him down.

He was the one choosing which prisoners to question at Harenhall. He is then in Tywin's last meeting there.
