Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (14 Viewers)

totally agree.

argument should have been this: listen, there are two things going on- and for both things, you need to join up with us. 1st, we're the starks and you swore an oath/etc. but most importantly, we're about to be overrun by white walkers. you heard about me accepting wildings into the south, but not about an entire fortress being overrun and massacred by these ####ers? 

 
spoiler alert brohans in field of dreams tyler durden does not show up and beat up the ghost of shoeless joe jackson if that is why you wanted to see field of dreams forget about it cause it does not happen take that to the if you build it they will go to the bank brohans

I honestly don't know.  Maybe the focus on violence? It came out during a period where graphic violence (and gore) became part of a movies purpose and intent and the whole genre turned me off.  For example, I think Tarantino is an overrated gas-bag who had some good early stuff and then just got stupid with the emphasis on violence for violence sake. Resevoir Dogs had some great moments, but that opening scene with the bantering dialogue, followed by the crew walking together was just AWESOME - and his career imo was downhill from there.  So too was hollywood for a long while.

Not saying this is fair, nor is this a QT flick, but I not once had a desire to watch the film, and the more I would see here and there or hear about it, the less interested I became.

honestly- you're missing out.  really well made, interesting movie. yeah- there's violence, but it's not done in a gratuitous QT way for style over substance... serves the purpose and narrative construct of the movie. 

not as high on it as shady, but really like it. seen it at least 5 times and would see it again- visually, narratively and movie-makey compelling.

eta: even knowing the story backwards and forwards, I'd see it again. I wouldn't get hung up on knowing too much about it.

Playing devil's advocate doesn't stressing the threat of the white walkers make John and Sansa risking their forces to take back Winterfell seem selfish? "All of Westeros is in danger but right now we're mostly focused on taking back our castle"

they made some kind of point about Ramsey keeping the north divided- and that now was not the time for division.

 
Holy #### there were some fantastic #### in that brothel scene.  Please brings those same girls back for all nude scenes.

Arya's and Bran's storylines are dragging. They should combine them. Bran can warg a blind Arya who had shapeshifted into Jaqen so he can resurrect the BloodRaven to help locate and assassinate the remaining people on Arya's list.

is that before or after Bran goes back in time, has sex with his Aunt Lyanna and thus becomes Jon's dad? Since Bran can do time travel, I guess the before or after part is irrelevant.

I've never seen Fight Club either, but I'm not going to worry about any spoilers for the movie since it's been out so long.  I'll catch it one of these days.

Yep.  I don't get why they did not mention the White Walkers to all the North houses.  It offers a good reason to team up with the Wildings.

Really love this show, torn on the amount of character's though.  Makes it feel like an expansive world, but, can do without Sam and some of the other soap opera side stories.

When Sam went was at dinner with his parents, his brother even commented about white walkers not existing when Gilly was defending Sam and how he had killed one. Really shows how people South of the wall are completely clueless about their impending threat.

 
Cersei is gonna get Tommen killed with her stupid frankenmountain plan and Jaime is not gonna be happy about her getting another one of their kids killed. Jaime and Brienne or Jaime and Snow or...Thats all I got

Ranger couldn't convince Ned, and he got beheaded for it. 

Jeor Mormont tried 5 kings and couldn't convince anybody but Stannis and Tyrion. 

Good luck convincing the northern lords when they don't know you from Adam and you want them to take their men to war with people who have been raiding their villages for centuries.

See - this to me is a plot hole in the story.  I assume most of the Northern houses know that Jon Snow took the Black, and in fact was Lord Commander.  That is a lifetime appointment.  I don't think anyone who was not at Castle Black is buying that Jon was dead - and thus relieved of his vows - and is now alive and free to walk away from the Night's Watch.  So, I would expect everyone to assume he had deserted and behead him accordingly.  Yet, everyone seems fine with him leading an army to take back the North - even the houses that are not going to support that effort.

 
I tend to agree, though perhaps it's just the Warden of the North who has a responsibility to behead deserters rather than make an attempt to return them to their posts.

 
Can't wait for the Lord of the Rings-esque massive battle scenes when the White Walkers finally do get to / cross the wall.
