Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (1 Viewer)

I'm worried about Tyrion.  He hasn't been a good Hand of the Queen at all.

- almost loses Mereen

- gets the Unsullied trapped on Casterly Rock

- Tells person with dragons not to use dragons in a war and not to attack easily defeated King's Landing where the leaders are. Instead attack some random castle.

Just posting in here to warn people, as I have not read the last few pages/posts. The entire episode 4 was leaked.  Beware of people posting "Here's what I think will happen", as last season someone correctly "predicted" a lot of Season 6 in this thread, amazingly after the leaks.

With that, I'm out til Monday.

I guess he brokered a potential alliance with the North? But yeah, seems like a better peace-time hand than the guy you want running a war effort (Blackwater notwithstanding).

*Al Pacino voice*

"You're not a wartime consigliere, Tyrion.  You're out."

What's the point of hacking HBO for a script for a show that will on TV in a few days?  I mean I get criminal hacking like getting bank records and whatnot.  That leads to money and power.

What does having the episode 4 script get you?

Mocked on the internet, apparently.

Would it be enough if Tyrion went with him and saw one? With his military mistakes I could see her sending him off while she unleashes the dragons and kicks some Cersei ###.
I just hope they don't go all Walking Dead and have someone go north and capture one and drag it back south in chains

That would be terrible.  How in the world would they have time for that ?- winter is coming!?  I assume it's full on battle or nothing, and Jon needs all the troops before anybody faces the undead army.

Haven't a lot of the battles ended like this?  Blackwater, The Wall, Bastards?
Pretty much. Dany has been saved by her dragon/fire powers every time she gets intro trouble- she is like 11 from Stranger Things.

I don't see Littlefinger's angle. It seems he has a blind spot for Sansa otherwise he would have left them to die and picked off the pieces, or gone back to Cersei or paired up with dragons. Right now he's gotta know he's not getting Sansa but he's leaving himself vulnerable anyhow.

Hindsight 20/20 and all, but Tyrion is not a seasoned battle commander (he defended King's Landing as best he could, but that's very different from waging an continental war.) Plus he's fighting his brother and sister who have known him his whole life, not surprising the 2 of them outmaneuvered him.

Then again, no one on Dany's side is a seasoned battle commander. Maybe if Selmy had survived or Jorah was still there. Jon Snow and Davos are a little more seasoned, but not compared to someone like Tarly that's now on Jamie's side.

He thought the North would back Sansa and Sansa would lean on him for advice, with a grateful North for additional support.  When they backed Jon, he had to bide his time.  And the gratitude has been severely lacking.  Nowhere for him to go now, really.

He could go back to Cersei. He could head over to Daenerys, which might be his best move. He has an army and is smart enough to help scheme her to the throne.

For a man who supposedly looks at every angle, he isn't doing anything with the clear lack of respect/gratitude from the north.

Littlefinger will make one more move, against the Starks, get caught and killed.  Likely by Jon (or even better, Sansa).

I don't think he survives the season.

There's no place for him with Cersei.  He has no army to bring her.  He has no true influence over the Lords of the Vale once they start to disagree with his direction.  And aligning with Cersei would definitely bring that.  Plus he would lose the one trump card he has in Robyn the second it gets out that he screwed over Sansa.

There's a little greater chance they'd be willing to back Dany with word of Dragons, but HR wouldn't even let him get an interview. Zero chance Varys and Tyrion let LF anywhere near her.

 just came across this post from the first page of this thread, FOUR YEARS ago.

Might be a dumb question but this is for TV watchers. The season two finale ended with the White Walkers walking past Sam going somewhere...Where were they headed, and what is taking them so long, why havent they started a massive war with some humans by now?

Not many seasoned commanders out there. Pretty much everyone who survived Robert's rebellion is dead now. Randall Tarley is really the only one. Even Jamie really hasn't led a successful military campaign. He's Lannister commander by default with his father and uncle dead. He's was basically a glorified sentry (his father's words) his entire adult life until the war with Rob (where Jamie lost his only major battle)

If Littlefinger dies, I think it will be by Arya - maybe she discovers something about him while she is disguised as someone else.

But, if he has survived this long - I could see him making it the distance.

At some point Littlefinger is going to make an attempt to take down Jon Snow.  That's been telegraphed from about zillion miles away.

Is it too much to hope that Littlefinger gets tossed out the moon door?

People like Littlefinger and Varys are useful politically. White Walkers don't care who lives in which castle with what bride.  They should both be dead by the time that matters.

Remember the look Littlefinger gave when the Maester mentioned that the old Maester kept every scroll. Stuff is about to happen, me thinks.
It seems certain they will find something interesting in the old raven messages, but I can't Come up with any ideas which one it might be. From the previews, I think there's going to be a lot of winterfell.

There's a longstanding well-known theory that one central overriding theme of the whole story is what Varys represents v what Baelish represents. There was a scene I think season 1 or 2 where the two of them were talking, alone somewhere in KL. The book geeks loved it because it was a scene that could never happen in the books in that neither character has been a POV. Lots of foreshadowing in that, according to some.

Maybe that's why Jorah's coming back....although I never got the sense Jorah was a great military strategist.
