I hate to nitpick on a great episode but I thought they should have shown Tommen's reaction to his mother's imprisonment.

I think it works. He isn't playing the game. He is irrelevant. For now at least. Maybe he grows a spine.

I liked the impact of simply seeing Cersei react to her cuckolded son's inability to function on his own. I don't think adding another scene with Tommen would have added much to that image.

P Kev's new shtick is a little transparent.

I think the White Walkers are more interesting because they're not just some unthinking force crashing southward, but an actual army with organization/tactics. But they don't really need any supply lines or can be bogged down by the weather like a conventional army, and they can replenish as they go. I guess the 64k question is how they breach the wall, but after that, how many soldiers are they going to net (people killed/zombies created - zombies killed) at/between the Wall and the South? Yikes.

The geographical location of Hardhome would lead one to believe that the WW's came for it specifically, as it's somewhat out of the way on the path to the wall. Unless they're just tracking down the coast.

One major effect is that she now knows that, as long as Bran or Rickon are alive, she is not the heir to Winterfell. Obviously, might makes right to a large extent, but in the context of the "The North Remembers" theme, her offspring with Ramsey would be inferior to the claim of either Bran or Rickon.

I believe Jamie gave Brienne his Valyrian sword that was made from Ned's. Then she named it Oathkeeper.

Probably. I just figure Uncle Benjen makes an appearance before the end of the series. Odd that he simply disappeared with no resolution.

How about this... Ramsey betrays dad and sides with Stannis, as long as hes given the north. Dad already let him know the other kid has a claim, which Sansa reminded.

It'll be interesting to see if word of the WW's (esp if they somehow breach the wall) gets to Dany before she sets out for Westeros. At that point it becomes a humanitarian mission, which I guess is what Dany views Westeros as anyway, but a much more difficult one.

Yes. The king didn't turn the people. We've seen dead people turn already without the king and be burned. That was just for dramatics to show how they just increased their army's size.

Also, agree with the post above. The king has been the king for a long time, probably during the last long winter. I don't think the king is some guy we've seen in the show. Maybe one of his bad-### lieutenants, but even then I would just think anyone who died in the show is just a regular old one. Not that they can't be seen and have an impact, like the kids did to that idiot lady who let them eat her.

oh- maybe. I got the impression it was a more common thing, but that they just hadn't utilized it in weapons (why sam sent the dagger with jon). that based on them having the name "dragon-glass" being readily knowable by everybody who hears it so far.
