Game Thread - Pittsburgh @ Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Ok Pittsburgh offense, get the hell off the field. And Baltimore, give Jamal the ball!! Has he even touched it in the last 2-3 drives?Run Forrest, run!!
Football's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.

sure are trying to make this stinker of a game seem important. Personally,, I think the coach is taking a huge risk by playing Jamal... What an idiot. If Jamal gets an ACL here,, that coach will be the laughing stock of the NFL..
Translation: it sucks playing FF against a guy trying to break a record in an otherwise meaningless Week 17 game

Pittsburg has been stuffing Jamal at the line. There have been at least three Jamal carries of no significant gain since he got to 73 yards.

For the record, this is where we stand.Eric Dickerson (1984): 2,105 yardsBarry Sanders(1997): 2,053 yardsJamal Lewis (2003): 2,027 yards (1,952 + 75 tonight so far)Terrell Davis (1998): 2,008 yardsO. J. Simpson (1973): 2,003 yards Jamal has done nothing in the last three Baltimore drives. I believe he had 73 after just the first two drives.

Someone stick a football in Theisman's mouth. "You don't want this to be a game where you only give the ball to Lewis. Ya gotta go deep now and then." (paraphrased) Shut the hell up. They showed a stat in pregame where Jamal averages 13 carries and only a few yards against Pitt, but 20+ carries and 100+ against everyone else. The key? Give him more carries! So, what's it going to be? "Give him more carries", or "You can't give it to him all the time"?? Everyone watching wants to see the record, so give him the f-ing ball!

However, Theisman can throw it 60 yards, just ask him....he adds value to the broadcast, doesn't he? :wall:

Theisman knows what he's talking about. Lewis will be able to break the record of the Ravens have the threat of a passing game. If all the Ravens do is run, run, and run again, the Steelers will put 9 players up in run defense.

Ed Reed: "I will NOT be ignored!" (the talking heads were saying earlier that he's not getting his props tonight)lol Great stick on Randle El.

At halftime:Eric Dickerson (1984): 2,105 yardsBarry Sanders(1997): 2,053 yardsJamal Lewis (2003): 2,029 yards (1,952 + 77 tonight so far)Terrell Davis (1998): 2,008 yardsO. J. Simpson (1973): 2,003 yards Lewis did nothing in the second quarter after a great start. Those kneels to end the half were annoying.

Jamal got 13 yards on Baltimore's opening 3rd quarter drive. Then, 3 more yards before fumbling.Eric Dickerson (1984): 2,105 yardsBarry Sanders(1997): 2,053 yardsJamal Lewis (2003): 2,045 yards (1,952 + 93 tonight so far)Terrell Davis (1998): 2,008 yardsO. J. Simpson (1973): 2,003 yards

Passing on 3rd and 1 always looks terrible when there's an incompletion, especially after running for nine yards on your frist two plays. But, a fake punt looks great! For a touchdown!

Nice fake punt, at least Jamal gets the ball back quickly. Time to atone. As an aside, anyone else notice how Lewis doesn't do his best work in the red zone?

My whole season rests on the shoulders of James Farrior!! :bag: I need 12pts,, 2pt/tackle, 1pt/tackleassist, 5pt/sack, 10pts/int.... He's no where near the the ball... However,, I did see Jamal shead him a couple times,, unfortunately we don't get points for missed tackles..I'm gonna lose.. :wall:
You've got 9 points and about 22 minutes to go, you're on pace

Immediately after moving pass Sanders into second place:Eric Dickerson (1984): 2,105 yardsJamal Lewis (2003): 2,056 yards (1,952 + 104 tonight so far)Barry Sanders(1997): 2,053 yardsTerrell Davis (1998): 2,008 yardsO. J. Simpson (1973): 2,003 yards

End of the 3rd quarter. Lewis needs 45 yards to break Dickerson's record.Eric Dickerson (1984): 2,105 yardsJamal Lewis (2003): 2,061 yards (1,952 + 109 tonight so far)Barry Sanders (1997): 2,053 yardsTerrell Davis (1998): 2,008 yardsO. J. Simpson (1973): 2,003 yards

Make that 48, thanks to a 3 yard loss.
