Everyone can say whatever they want about the D, but Vick and the offense have had plenty of chances to win at the end of games and they haven't come through once.Doubt it. Not as long as Juan Castillo remains the D coordinator.Eagles will get it together at some point I think. But by then it will be too late.
I know what it is but you blew it....No the RED one...Airplane!so the white one?No the white oneJohn Gruden please report to the white courtesy phone
The defense blew the lead TWICE in the 4th quarter. For the 5th time this year.Everyone can say whatever they want about the D, but Vick and the offense have had plenty of chances to win at the end of games and they haven't come through once.Doubt it. Not as long as Juan Castillo remains the D coordinator.Eagles will get it together at some point I think. But by then it will be too late.
Can you explain this? What exactly is a Wet Dream Team? Sounds like the Swedish Bikini Team meets Inception, where they go on missions to incite ejaculations in horny young me everywhere, which sounds wonderful to me.Dream Team turning into Wetdream Team real quick.
Fire Reid NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the softest weakest most choking team I have seen in Philly in a LONG time... He doesn't deserve a chance to mis-coach a single more game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As long as the Eagles can console the worst team in the league, I feel better about them.As a Skins fan this loss makes me feel a little better.
I can't defend the defense. I'm just saying that I find the offense to be equally frustrating in crunch time. The defense blew the lead TWICE in the 4th quarter. Unfortunately there's plenty of blame to go around. But Andy just said everyone has to get better, and that's his job to fix it. I feel better now...Andy's going to fix it.I can't defend the defense. Well, it should have begun long ago... If it hadn't been for Michael Vick's surprising emergence (which even surprised Reid, so I'm not sure how much credit you can give him for it) and Philly's having such a good off-season with Free Agents I think people would have been making the case that Reid shouldn't have been the coach this year at all. And as for my previous comment... play after play after play, situation after situation after situation, the Eagles have made bad mistakes that good coaching would have eliminated... yes the players make the plays but Reid has been making terrible decisions all year, as have his assistant coaches... for instance, why wasn't a certain prize free agent acquisition wrapped like a glove around Fitz the whole game? And NO, it doesn't help at all that I have Fitz on my fantasy team.... :-(Fire Reid NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the softest weakest most choking team I have seen in Philly in a LONG time... He doesn't deserve a chance to mis-coach a single more game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And so it begins...
True... it is beginning to look like last year was an aberration, and Vick may be returning more to the form he had in Atlanta... might have been another serious mistake by Reid to tie the Eagles fortunes to him for the next "oh-how-many-years"? I really hope I'm wrong...Not sure why the announcers were trying to give Vick a pass. He played horribly. A lot of teams have to play games without their best WR.
Reid is still living on his 2000 to 2004 success. No other way to explain the admiration he gets. 3 playoff wins since losing the Super Bowl after 2004 season. Andy has not approached the same level of success since then.Well, it should have begun long ago... Agreed that the offense has been pretty bad this year and is definitely frustrating. But this defense is probably the most frustrating defense in Eagles history.Everyone can say whatever they want about the D, but Vick and the offense have had plenty of chances to win at the end of games and they haven't come through once.Doubt it. Not as long as Juan Castillo remains the D coordinator.Eagles will get it together at some point I think. But by then it will be too late.
I have to agree. I keep hearing people say what a great coach he is. Right now I'd settle for simply "not terrible". For instance ------------- He brings in a D Line coach before hiring a coordinator tying the team to the "the spread" which requires good linebackers to fill the gaps only the Eagles don't believe in Linebackers, and all this made it hard to hire D Coordinator so he has to hire his Offensive guy for the job and they SUCK in key situations despite making some GREAT off season moves in free agency on the D Side of the ball---------------------- and that's just ONE of MANY in a series of poor moves and decisions. Yeah but don't forget, Reid is a QB genius (lol) so he got more out of Kolb than ANYONE else would have... hard to write that right now without gagging... ok, I'm better now. Here's a different spin on that popular myth. How about "Reid likes to throw the ball too dang much and he has a lot of easy throws built into his system so ANY decent QB will have inflated numbers in Philly, only when it comes to crunch time and a team NEEDS to run the ball down the other teams throat to wind down the clock, or punch in a score, the Eagles can't do it cause Reid only knows how to run a passing offense" ? Yes, I AM kinda pissed right now...lolThey should have hitched their wagon to Superstar KEVIN KOLB and not Michael Vick.As a Cardinal fan, you can have him back...

I never understood most "experts" claiming that Kolb would be the big "get" for any team needing a QB this season...Yeah but don't forget, Reid is a QB genius (lol) so he got more out of Kolb than ANYONE else would have... hard to write that right now without gagging...They should have hitched their wagon to Superstar KEVIN KOLB and not Michael Vick.As a Cardinal fan, you can have him back...
I agree, he probably did. Kolb just isn't good.At least most have stopped claiming Kolb would be a better option.Kolb's been dreadful here. And his happy feet, poor decisions and physical limitations have been on full display. He's a solid backup QB in the NFL.
I think its apparent they will need to hire their 3rd DC in 3 years. If Reid promotes the running backs coach to DC I'll burn all of my Eagles hats/jerseys/shirts/sweatshirts. If Reid comes back next year (most likely) I think they have to go outside his "circle of trust" for a DC and bring in an outside voice.I wonder if this season will finally be the death knell in AReid's coaching career. I've been calling for the guy's head for the better part of 7 years...he is fit for management...not coaching (coordinator at best).
Yes I know... had him as my fantasy backup and already dropped him... but it IS his first real year as a starter and he may improve, for ARI sake I hope he does... Don't see that happening with Reid though (improvement I mean). I hadn't seen that stat, but it is a travesty isn't it? You're up most of the game and instead of eating up the clock so you give the other team as little time as possible on the field to catch up, you have your most explosive "ground game" weapon (right now) touching the ball less than 30% of the time...Eagles are now 1-7 in their last 8 home games. In a game that was close throughout, and the Eagles lead most of the way, McCoy touched the ball 17 times out of 58 offensive plays. That was with DJax out and Maclin hurt much of the game.
McCoy had 14 carries for 81 yds (I think) for an average of nearly 5.8. I checked the box score and he had 3 receptions for 12 yds. One touch over the final quarter and a half. For one of the best RBs in the game and clearly the team's best weapon today.I hadn't seen that stat, but it is a travesty isn't it?
