Unfortunately there's plenty of blame to go around. But Andy just said everyone has to get better, and that's his job to fix it. I feel better now...Andy's going to fix it.

Well, it should have begun long ago... If it hadn't been for Michael Vick's surprising emergence (which even surprised Reid, so I'm not sure how much credit you can give him for it) and Philly's having such a good off-season with Free Agents I think people would have been making the case that Reid shouldn't have been the coach this year at all. And as for my previous comment... play after play after play, situation after situation after situation, the Eagles have made bad mistakes that good coaching would have eliminated... yes the players make the plays but Reid has been making terrible decisions all year, as have his assistant coaches... for instance, why wasn't a certain prize free agent acquisition wrapped like a glove around Fitz the whole game? And NO, it doesn't help at all that I have Fitz on my fantasy team.... :-(

True... it is beginning to look like last year was an aberration, and Vick may be returning more to the form he had in Atlanta... might have been another serious mistake by Reid to tie the Eagles fortunes to him for the next "oh-how-many-years"? I really hope I'm wrong...

Agreed that the offense has been pretty bad this year and is definitely frustrating. But this defense is probably the most frustrating defense in Eagles history.

I have to agree. I keep hearing people say what a great coach he is. Right now I'd settle for simply "not terrible". For instance ------------- He brings in a D Line coach before hiring a coordinator tying the team to the "the spread" which requires good linebackers to fill the gaps only the Eagles don't believe in Linebackers, and all this made it hard to hire D Coordinator so he has to hire his Offensive guy for the job and they SUCK in key situations despite making some GREAT off season moves in free agency on the D Side of the ball---------------------- and that's just ONE of MANY in a series of poor moves and decisions. ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

How about "Reid likes to throw the ball too dang much and he has a lot of easy throws built into his system so ANY decent QB will have inflated numbers in Philly, only when it comes to crunch time and a team NEEDS to run the ball down the other teams throat to wind down the clock, or punch in a score, the Eagles can't do it cause Reid only knows how to run a passing offense" ? Yes, I AM kinda pissed right now...lol

I wonder if this season will finally be the death knell in AReid's coaching career. I've been calling for the guy's head for the better part of 7 years...he is fit for management...not coaching (coordinator at best).

I think its apparent they will need to hire their 3rd DC in 3 years. If Reid promotes the running backs coach to DC I'll burn all of my Eagles hats/jerseys/shirts/sweatshirts. If Reid comes back next year (most likely) I think they have to go outside his "circle of trust" for a DC and bring in an outside voice.

Yes I know... had him as my fantasy backup and already dropped him... but it IS his first real year as a starter and he may improve, for ARI sake I hope he does... Don't see that happening with Reid though (improvement I mean). He's too stubborn to listen to anyone else...

You're up most of the game and instead of eating up the clock so you give the other team as little time as possible on the field to catch up, you have your most explosive "ground game" weapon (right now) touching the ball less than 30% of the time...
