Game Thread W10 - Green Bay V Minnesota (1 Viewer)

The Vikings did what they had to do today and could be considered the favorite to win the division now. Good win for them. Only two things can stop the Vikings from being a serious playoff favorite however, their coach and their quarterback. Still, someone from this sorry division will be crowned winner. The Packers have to many issues on run defense and their o-line so I'm not sure if things will improve enough for them to win the division. The Bears don't seem to want the division either and the Lions are more of a Div II team than an NFL team.
Why are they the favorite to win the division now? They're getting better Qb play now since Frerrotte started at Qb. The Packers issues haven't gotten better. They seem very inconsistent. Id say Chicago is at this point. I would agree but they appear to be on a roller coaster ride this season.

Chicago lost a tough game to an undfeated team. By a TD at HOME. The Packers lost to the same undefeated team on the road in overtime on a field goal.
Someone's going to win the division at either 8-8 or 9-7. Heck, even 7-9 might get the job done. The sad thing is that some Vikings fans will see this as the Vikings pulling away from the division and anoint them one of the NFC's best teams.

Chad Clifton needs to take a seat on the bench and get his head out of his back side. Getting whipped and penalties on him at crucial times. Stay in your dam stance till the ball is snapped.'

Hope the Pack can draft a LT and get him out of town soon.

They should have an earlier pick next year to grab one of the better ones. Or probably trade down and wait til the 2nd or 3rd to grab that LT...

The Bears were also missing their starting QB. Not a great comparison with GB's loss. And while they are getting better QB play with Gus...its still not great and today was downright terrible and kept GB in the game.

Not sure if its his knees or what. But he has not looked great.I would not say get rid of him that quickly this season. But he needs to step up.

Yes but Rex was their starting Qb up until this season. It's not like Brad Johnson was suddenly pushed into action.

As a Viking fan I have to say.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.. to anyone proclaiming them to be the favorite in the division..Did you watch that Crappy QB play and the horrid coaching??

The Vikes are not going anywhere until they get rid of Childress and get a QB that can see a defender in front of his Receiver.

The Defense and ADP saved Childress's job.

:suds: Lets just say that had I been online during that cluster :( I'd be looking at a short timeout..

The Defense & ADP should get the coaches check and Childress should send a nice Christmas gift to Crosby.

But :hey: look at us we are in first place! :suds:

read through a couple pages and didn't see anything....but what happened to Berrian today? Did he get hurt...or just wasn't targeted?

Gus played poorly and the Packers D is soft against the run and pretty good working against WRs. Adds up to heck of a lot of Peterson.Just wasn't Berrian's week. He'll produce in future games.

I am probably the biggest AD fan in the world (I am a Sooner fan also, so I have watched this kid his whole career). I was so pissed at him when he lobbied to go for it on fourth down and fumbled the carry that I wanted to scream, but on the last drive, you could tell he clearly wanted to put the team on his back and there was no way he was going to be denied a touchdown. If he wasn't there already, I think he just took over the role of best RB in the NFL.

I think I would like to see Jackson back in at QB. The coaching staff will likely stay the course because we won, but the Vikings won despite Gus not because of him.

We can do the same or better with Jackson in there. I say let him play so the Vikings know for sure if he is a waste or not instead of still wondering in the offseason.

This team is not going to be able to win in the playoffs with Gus. Probably don't have a chance with Jackson either but if he can get some confidence going maybe he would be able to make a difference or at least gain some valuable experience for next year. With Gus we are going no where.
