Game Thread W10 - NY Jets V Cleveland (1 Viewer)

someone please explain why mangini doesnt just run the ball and drain the clock . . . passing from the three was insanity . . .

I didn't watch the game but wasn't an attempt to pass the ball from their own 5 - that resulted in a sack at their own 2 - by Cleveland one of the more odd coaching decisions as of late?

Kudos to the Jets who did something we weren't even close to doing but what in the world was Cleveland thinking there. They weren't going to score and now they got zero room to punt. Anyone saw this that can explain it to me?

Hate to see the Jets playing close games against pretty mediocre teams, but another gutsy win. Sanchez is growing up before our eyes.

They threw on first down.. the thought had to be they were trying to win the game, instead of playing for a tie. McCoy was sacked on 3rd down at the 2 after running on 2nd down

Imagine the criticism if Mangini runs the ball three times, thereby draining the clock and ending the game for a tie. He would be crucified in the media.

again, even P. Manning would be hard pressed to go 97 yards in 90 seconds - the decision made NO sense . . .

I wouldn't call the Browns a mediocre team (The lions on the other hand yeah they are mediocre and they couldn't even beat the worst team in the NFL today (Bills) )

I can't say that I agree with it but he was going for the win.
going for the win on his own three with 90 seconds left???stupdity at its finest . . .
They almost had a big pass to Ben Watson over the middle but I believe McCoy overthrew him (if I'm remembering correctly). So yea, they were going for the win, Jason Taylor was kind of close to getting a safety as well.

They needed 60 something yards a FG would have been good enough to Win.Mangini was in a no win situation at that point in the game as no matter how he called the plays there he would be second guessed endlessly.

my stupidity , they only needed a FG - still 67 yards in 90 seconds would be tough . . .
So you would be saying "Great coaching!!!" if Mangini ran Hillis three times and got the tie?!?Everyone else would be calling him a #####.
There was so much talk throughout the week leading up to this game, and the fans in that stadium were really pumped up. Playing for the tie would not have gone over well.

Gut wrenching loss, but the problem wasn't going for the win in the final 90 seconds. We don't win this game and the playoffs are not a second thought, a tie is meaningless. Love everything about this team and while 2010 isn't going to be our year because we took too long to get going 2011 will be.

Here we go Brownies, here we go!

They need to keep Mangini and the staff. There are alot of good pieces in Cleveland. Solid O Line, bruising, all around back (with HArdesty coming back as well), and a very underrated tight end. Not to mention a rookie who has performed better than anyone could expect a rookie to perform against some very good teams. On defense, they have one glaring weakness . . . Eric Wright.
