i see it may be a bit windy today, anyone know which direction the field runs? North to South or East to West endzone to endzone? will a wind out of the south be a crosswind? thanks...

edit:

...latest report shows only 10 MPH, so i guess it wont be much of a factor.

So with Haynesworth and Laboy out is anyone brave enough to start MJD against the #1 run defense?

South/North. You will have a crosswind, most likely from West to East toward the South end zone.

I made the decision to start MJD over Kolby in one league and SJax & Kolby in another. FOX is saying SJax has a bulging disc and is targeted for only 14 or so carries. Injuries have killed my year. Then again, who hasn't had a tough year?

Excellent drive by JAX. Running on almost every play and getting solid gains. Gray finally throws a medium pass over the middle for a strike and a first down inside the five. Short pass in the left flat to Greg Jones for a TD. TEN didn't pressure Gray much on any of his throws.

Three and out by TEN. Young looks terrible. I don't know what that last pass was supposed to be. The ball was so short of the mark that at least it couldn't be intercepted by the JAX player it was headed for.

TEN incapable of stopping the run. No huge gains for JAX, just steady progress forward. Wish I hadn't started the TEN D today. JAX hasn't needed to pass much but when they have Gray sure looks a lot better than Young. TEN needs to get something going now or this game could be over by halftime.

Another three and out for TEN. On 2d and one White loses a yard. On third down, Young misfires on a difficult pass to the left sideline. Strange playcall.

Recievers now running to places other than where Young is throwing it. Big toss to Gage on third down. TEN inside JAX 20 with 12 seconds left.

Confusion. Young's receivers running to places he's not throwing it. Then big pass to Gage to JAX 18. Nobody calls timeout until 2 seconds left while CBS cuts to commercial. When they return, Bironas kikcs a FG. 14-3 at the half. Young did make a few nice downfield throws on that drive. They have a halftime to figure out why the WR's and Young aren't on the same page.

Yeah, well, they've had a half of a season and haven't found any answers yet. I'll be interested to find out who had it wrong. I tend to thing it was the WR.

They actually called the timeout right after that last play with about 13 (?) seconds. Fisher had to chase down a ref when he saw the clock start running again, and use their final t.o.VY will be much more effective if they start letting him throw the ball more down the field on the i.m. routes this way, provided the wrs run the right routes, of course. This is like deja vu all over again.

Instead of immediately taking off running under pressure, Young pump fakes to fool the pass rusher. Doesn't work. Easy sack. Young runs on third and ten but falls just short. Fisher decides to go for it. Bad snap. Young can't get it. JAX recovers.

Horrible throw by Gray into coverage. Fuller drops a sure INT. JAX then fakes the FG but TEN sniffs it out and tackles the holder well shy of first down. TEN ball.

On the numbers.

TD.

What'd I say about letting VY throw the ball deeper?

Norm's figgerin' it out...slowly but surely.
