Game Thread W10 - Tennessee V Jacksonville (1 Viewer)

TEN wastes momentum after Young gets stripped on first down and recovers for a 15-yard loss. He was lucky to get that back. Three and out. JAX has ball at midfield now.

Huge freaking hold on that keeper...uncalled.

Then hands to the face on d called on the same tie-up.

Unreal.

F'ing self defense...

Jebus...does this color guy have a hard on for VY or what?He can apparently do nothing right, even when he throws a td pass.
I'm confused. Doesn't the former statement mean he likes Vince?Anyway, Young forces a ball in for a game-losing INT. He was terrible today and deserves a ton of criticism for his play.

I agree. And, ironically, he had the most passing yardage of the year.

He was terrible today? How, exactly? He threw for 257 yards and a TD (another erased by penalty on a stupid-penalty-ridden day). He was 24-41.He ran for 52 of the team's 62 rushing yards. The rest of the rushing attack combined for 10 yards. TEN. Mawae can't get the ball off the ground on 4th and 4 inches. WRs run bad routes on consecutive plays. The middle of the defense, missing key players, got raped. All day....etc. There's plenty of blame to spread around.Seems to me he did a lot considering the circumstances.Terrible how?

Guess you didn't watch the game.

Did you even watch the game??? He threw behind his receivers, didn't read the field, held the ball to long, had some terrible throws for picks. Quit looking at the stat line and making judgements if you didn't even see the game.

I watched the whole game. I didn't say he was perfect, but if he was terrible as you say, he wouldn't have had the day he had. Sure he threw behind a receiver for a pick....and he forced one at the end...after having a td throw taken away by penalty. I can admit his mistakes. Every qb makes mistakes. Some of you can't give credit for the things he did well. The standard just seems awfully harsh for VY, and I've never been able to discern the reason.Cutler is 17-29 for 192, a TD and a pick. He's surrounded by weapons on offense and has a great o-line protecting him. His rbs run for 120 yards and a TD in a win against KC...and he's being interviewed right now as if he won them the game with his td pass in the 4th when already up 20-11.VY just gets ripped the whole game, even when he does very good things.

I didn't mean to offend you. I'm not a Titans fan and got stuck with this game in my media market. I definitely was not impressed by what I saw. TEN desperately needed a big play at some point in the first half and Young never came up with anything. Yes, his running game was shut down but he's supposed to be the kind of QB who "makes things happen." By the time he got any offense going it was already 21-3. He helped put his team in a huge hole. He missed wide open receivers. He bounced balls in the dirt and he overthrew at other times. He looked confused out there. He didn't make any creative runs. He held on to the ball too long several times. He did put up some good yardage later in the game but JAX seemed to be giving the receivers more space underneath at that point. His WR's bailed him out with some great catches a couple of times. He did show toughness and he didn't give up. But when JAX let TEN back in the game he gave it away with the bad INT that ended it.

Good reply.. Thanks.Don't agree with everything, and I think playcalling is largely attributable for the first half. They just haven't been letting VY throw anything but dink and dunk. In the 2nd half, they let him go, and it worked. Sure, he'll make some mistakes along the way, but that's the only way he'll learn. My deja vu remark referred back to Texas, when they hamstrung him and square-pegged him for a long time, then finally let him do his thing. It wasn't perfect at first, but he learned quickly, and his last 1.5 years there were nothing short of outstanding...and I'm talking about the passing game.
