Game Thread W11 - San Diego V Jacksonville (1 Viewer)

The Jaguars inactives are John Carney, Todd Bouman, John Broussard, LaBrandon Toefield, Aaron Glenn, Richard Collier, Tutan Reyes, Bobby McCray (<-- that's odd). Josh Scobee is playing for the first time since he was injured in week 1.

The Chargers inactives are Charlie Whitehurst, Paul Oliver, Eric Weddle, Anthony Waters, Nick Hardwick, Malcom Floyd, Scott Chandler and Luis Castillo.

Jacksonville goes for 1st down on 4th and inches in the red zone and gets it

Taylor takes next play very close to the goal line

MJD doesn't get the TD on the goalline on 2nd and goal and 3rd and goal.

3rd and goal was an inch short. Worth a challenge. Del Rio again goes for it on 4th down

MJD finally gets in on 4th and an inch

This will be an interesting review. It looked to me like his elbow landed in bounds (after he'd clutched the ball) before he slid out of bounds. One elbow = two feet. But the call on the field was incomplete and there may not be enough evidence to overturn it.

I hate it for LT, Gates, and co. but I absolutely love it for A.J. Smith. I hope that his out of control ego finally gets whacked Soprano-style at the end of this season. This was a team ready to win a superbowl that has gone to cellardwellers all in one off-season where A.J. Smith's ego was running rampant. :excited:

I can't believe the Chargers punted on fourth and two from the Jags' 40. Actually I can believe it, but I hate the decision.

Was that really a Charger smiling real big on the sidelines while the Jags are kneeling on the ball, hence, cinching a loss for San Diego?

I feel somewhat fortunate that the Jags came out with the win considering the momentum of the 2nd half.

7-3! :D
