You know what's more embarassing than losing 49-17? Having your opponent down the ball with 3 minutes remaining.![]()

Same here.I wouldn't mind running up the score in one of my other leagues and I have Carney, so I'll take the garbage FG.
It was built on sand by the media. It was going to happen soon enough.Fall of the Romo Empire is a great sign!
I'd agree with that. If Dallas cant stop them when they're running out the clock, you're showing them up even more by taking the knee. You know what's more embarassing than losing 49-17? Having your opponent down the ball with 3 minutes remaining.![]()

Yes but you would agree that a reasonable margin for error when looking at statistics is to say that if you've given up more points than almost any of the 80 clubs that made it to the super bowl in NFL history, your defense should be questioned.redman said:They are what they are. The '99 Rams defense was pretty mediocre but you wouldn't have known it given that every opponent seemed to be trailing by 3 TD's after the 1st quarter, allowing the Rams to play defense against offenses forced to throw.BGP said:I'm actually rather unimpressed with both of these teams tonite. With Dallas giving up 40+ points, it moves their defensive grade from good to questionable. For the Saints, their offense was never in question. They have strong offense. The question mark with the Saints has been their defense. They really don't shut teams down enough. They give up too many points. And that won't change by giving up another 17 (at least) here. The Saints stand a good chance of coming away from this game with worse defensive statistics than when they came in.
I wonder if they'll kick the FG.Same here.I wouldn't mind running up the score in one of my other leagues and I have Carney, so I'll take the garbage FG.
so do they limit colsten next week as well.. or will he be back to his old self again!

Geez, guy, give him some time to see how it reacted to game one and maybe to see if he can PRACTICE this week before asking for guesses on next week.so do they limit colsten next week as well.. or will he be back to his old self again!

Maybe parcells will send in Romo to Pass deep to ....fargin TOi agree, that would piss me off more than being scored against againYou know what's more embarassing than losing 49-17? Having your opponent down the ball with 3 minutes remaining.![]()

I didn't need the 3 from Carney anyway,. but I like running up the score on my playoff opponents..You know, if I were on the other side of this equation, I'd appreciate the knee.I'd agree with that. I'm guessing Colston would have stayed in longer tonight if the Saints hadn't wrapped up the game so quickly. Unless there's something we don't know about, I'd expect Colston to be back at close to 100% next week.so do they limit colsten next week as well.. or will he be back to his old self again!
I heard screaming from Cooters at the restaurant earlier. My neighbors have been chanting for hours. The cat was unimpressed by my effort.Quality "Who Dat?" chants. I think I'm about to start.

Whatever dude. I really don't care if I have an ounce of credibility with people that post crap like that. Like I say, if I ran this place, I'd just start permanently banning people like you for that sort of crap until it stops. Period.bentley said:Now you've got him started. QB for the Dallas Cowboys is one of those jobs that the media folk look for reasons to pimp. I have Romo on my dynasty team and respect his abilities, but he was already overexposed after only five weeks on the job.Too little too late for my interests (after that Deuce run). So, I'm back to thinking TO suz.Talk about coming up small - and in the same week you blow off a champ. speech from your coach to go get f'ed up in L.A. for your B-Day.Maybe parcells will send in Romo to Pass deep to ....fargin TOi agree, that would piss me off more than being scored against againYou know what's more embarassing than losing 49-17? ETA Completely dethroned tonight,,,,,,,, :(
Clinton Portis scored our league high a few years back. 60 points for the guy WHO HAD HIM ON BENCHMy league's been around since 1995, and I'm having trouble finding a bigger game in the record book than Brees had tonight. Can anybody else think of one?

Yes, they are limiting Colston.I think they were just letting him test the ankle in a gametime situationare they limiting colsten tonight.. Iv'e seen him in and out fo the lineup...
and
they are limiting him, but
about his ankle. He's been limited since his cramping up just before halftime, unrelated to the ankle.Good news is that he's likely to be a full go for next week.Parcells told Payton- "Good Job."That was classy. Wonder what he'll say to his team???Sean Payton = Coach of the Year! No, I wouldn't agree.Yes but you would agree that a reasonable margin for error when looking at statistics is to say that if you've given up more points than almost any of the 80 clubs that made it to the super bowl in NFL history, your defense should be questioned.redman said:They are what they are. Those fans were treated to a great final 3 minutes.I wonder what the league record is for consecutive kneeldowns by two teams? This 5 in a row might be it!
Most happy I didn't allow myself to be sold on Romo during his hot streak - made a key trade for Hass to offset what I felt might be Romo's crash. It was built on sand by the media. It was going to happen soon enough.Fall of the Romo Empire is a great sign!QB for the Dallas Cowboys is one of those jobs that the media folk look for reasons to pimp. Sure thing. The "BGP Effect" is well known by a bunch of folks. If one guy say a hundred people have a problem or if a hundred people say one guy has a problem, what's the most likely scenario?Whatever dude. I think I speak for everyone when I say they prefer Joe's way over your way.Like I say, if I ran this place, I'd just start permanently banning people like you for that sort of crap until it stops.

Good call. Although Texas Stadium technically isn't indoors.I don't want it to get lost in all this, but I just wanted to echo something that Michaels said. Having a fireworks halftime show indoors is just stupid.
