Game Thread W14 - Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (1 Viewer)

Is this the same Eagle fans complaning earlier in the year when I believe it was Hobbs laid out a WR and got called for 15 yard penalty?

I feel the same way that I did earlier today at the Jags game after the "personal foul" - I just wish the refs would say what the final will be and save me from going thru the whole process.

Looked like a clean hit to me. Vick was in bounds and he pushed him......
No bias here...
I'm not a Cowboys fan so not sure what you're insinuating. He was in bounds when the guy gave him a 2 hand push out of bounds. With a player as dangerous as Vick, you better make sure you get him out of bounds.
You're a Giants fan. That's what I meant.
 I'm a Steelers fan but nice try. I could care less about the Giants, Cowboys or Eagles...........

No doubt in my mind that Brady and Manning get that call.
Well there was a missed facemask, a high hit on him and now that out of bounds hit on Vick tonight that got no calls. I am all for letting them play but when others are getting calls and the obvious ones are not getting called, its bull####. That was the angriest i ever seen Reid in a game too.

Good no-call. First contact happened with Vick was still barely in bounds.
It wasn't where the contact was. It was the two handed shove. Definitely should have been a penalty.
:popcorn:Contact point was legal. Actions to push a QB far out of bounds was not. That gets flagged most of the time and clearly should have been here - but there's no consistency. This is the same crew that did the BAL-PIT game last week, by the way.

My mistake then - thought you were a NYG guy.

Kind of a silly comparison. Brady and Manning are not the running threat that Vick is. When Vick is in the open field, the defense has every right to treat him just like a WR or RB.
So talent level of a player goes into the decision on calling a penalty? How is that possibly legit?

nice open field tackle by Newman
Was pretty impressive. If he missed there was a good amount of green.Ok Andy your play calling is getting out of hand. Stick it in the hands of people who belong there and LOL @ Celek owners

:goodposting: So the league should only protect the less mobile QBs (like Manning and Brady for example)?

So when Miami runs wildcat are we to treat Ronnie Brown the same as Peyton Manning?

To address the original point, it is unlikely that Brady or Manning would be in the position. Those guys rarely run enough to where they get to the sidelines like that. With Vick, it is commonplace, and if the defender pulls up because it looks Vick is gonna run out of bounds, Vick could easily keep his feet in and get a few more yards. Sorry, but given Vick's style and running ability, you have to hammer him like that. It goes with the territory.

Stop, please just stop.

But they do get into postion to give themselves up when they're near the sidelines right? Vick's foot was on it's way down out of bounds, he wasn't juking anyone, he gave himself up. The force of the hit was uneccessary roughness.

It doesn't fit with your argument so you're just going to dismiss it? As a Garrard fan I know it's annoying when a defender has to pull a machete to get a foul called, but the league has made it clear how they're going to call the game so leave the pocket at your own risk.

Not saying that it's legit, but after watching the high, late shots IN THE POCKET that Garrard took a couple weeks ago against the Giants, you're naive to think that talent level doesn't factor in (league-wide).
