Apparently they did give them a first down on the first down play.

Not sure why, he was at least a 1/2 yard short where they marked him and the ball for the next play.

Watching that game, a novice skins fan might have gotten sucked in and excited, not me. Its like watching "24" and they make you think that Jack Bauer is going to die, but then he always pulls it out in the most miraculous of ways. I knew the skins wouldn't just let us down by not getting the TD on 4th down. They had to bring it to the next level of futility!

They snapped it at the 12...the next play was snapped from just inside the 3...it looks clearly short of a first down.

Agreed. They also left the first down marker out there 1/2 yard in front of where the ball was spotted on subsequent plays. If it had been a 1st down they would have picked it up.
