Game Thread W16 - Houston V Oakland (1 Viewer)

Starting the Texans D/ST isn't looking like such a shark move thus far. :(

Dammit, Slaton! Dude just can't get it done for short yardage. He carried from the 3 and got 2 before Leach took it in.

Just now, on 2nd and 2, he was stopped for 0 and then 1.

I'm afraid that his knack of not getting that tough yard or two will end up costing him future goal line opportunities and kleep him from being the truly elite fantasy back.

Have you been watching him play?

Is Andre Johnson alive?
Just be patient its just a matter of time.
Is N. Asomugha following him around today?
nah he usually only plays the left side of the field. But AJ moves around alot so he should get some looks in this game. It wouldn't suprise me if AJ can get one on him though. He did have one play where he was open and would have score but Shaub didn't see him.

Not today. Following it on CBS Sportsline.

Is Slaton not playing or just doing a terrible job?
He had one nice run (19 yds, I believe), but other than that, he's been horrible. The freakin' Pats had two 100 yard rushers against Oakland last week and Slaton can't get out of his own way.AND I NEED HIM TO GIVE ME POINTS!!!!!

Starting to look like I should have known better counting on a Shaub/Andre connection to lead me to a championship this week. Ugh.

typical Texans. Nice run the last few weeks followed up by this horrible performance. This gameplan looks like crap. On the bright side, maybe there's still hope we can get rid of Richard Smith after all. It would be nice to see a blitz or some kind of adjustment every once in a while...

we need an all points bulletin out for AJ. This is terrible. Dont these NFL coaches know to always play their studs?
I'm just watching via gamecast, but I have to assume he's been pretty much covered so far.... at this point I'm rooting for Oakland to score again for some garbage stats.

They're not even targeting AJ, are they? The guy is a freaking playmaker, he doesn't have to have 9 yards of separation to throw the ball his way.

Yeesh, I don't understand why teams continue to avoid their best players while their offense sputters and they get creamed in the game. If things aren't working with everyone else then maybe you should try getting your best player involved?

Asowhatever isn't following AJ everywhere. He's staying at RCB, although a safety is usually shading AJ's way. Teams do this crap all the time, but the Texans usually find ways to get AJ the ball. It doesn't look like we're even concerned about getting him the ball, which is baffling.

The coaching is terrible in this game. We just had a DE covering McFadden. After all the good things the Texans have done the last few weeks they are reverting back to the same listless, pathetic franchise they've always been. It's very disheartening.

line him on the side opposite Asoughma for starters.

He's been lined up over against Chris Johnson plenty of times. What I haven't seen is him in the slot very much. Now they are running him across the formation and starting to look at him...
