I'm sorry, but that was the biggest bunch of BS ever that they called that catch a TD. If Murphy's TD on Monday didn't count then that one shouldn't have either. The NFL needs to review that rule big time.
I don't know that it should have been a TD with the way the rule may be right now. I don't think it's explicit enough of how long after contact with the ground possession has to be maintained.But I think the rule
should read in a way that play is a touchdown. I think a well-done rule for it would be you should have to maintain possession through your initial impact with the ground that makes you down. Hitting the ground to where you are down, keeping possession, and subsequently rolling additional times, or being flipped over another player and hitting the ground additional times and then losing the ball shouldn't be an incompletion.
