I have a bad feeling about Houston's offense today. The Titans home opener, plus heavy rain combined with no Kevin Walter does not equal a big offensive showing.
Rain could help both offenses. Chris Johnson, Slaton, Andre Johnson, etc., all know which way they are going to cut. It's the defenders who slip trying to adjust. Could be interesting.
Looking at the current radar. It looks like the heavy rain is to the west and should not have an impact.

CJ needed no skill on that play other than to be able to catch a pass... Texans defense are just terrible. And STUPID.
You'd have to have some pretty sick RB talent if you're benching him any week. I have serious Man Love for this guy. What a player.
That was just good blocking by the Titans, plus CJ's speed.But the 69 yard TD pass to CJ where no one even lined up against him, well, that's another story.
As a Titans homer, I was glad to see CJ didn't slow down (much) at the goal line and hold the ball out towards the defender, like he did for half his TDs last year. I hope Fisher put an end to that during the off season.
There's no excuse for that kind of stuff happening. Somebody on the team has to know where the opponents' best offensive player is.
Yup.If I were a HC, my kicking team would be sprinting out onto the field after a TD and snapping ASAP. Why even give them a chance to look at it?
I don't know that it should have been a TD with the way the rule may be right now. I don't think it's explicit enough of how long after contact with the ground possession has to be maintained.But I think the rule should read in a way that play is a touchdown. I think a well-done rule for it would be you should have to maintain possession through your initial impact with the ground that makes you down. Hitting the ground to where you are down, keeping possession, and subsequently rolling additional times, or being flipped over another player and hitting the ground additional times and then losing the ball shouldn't be an incompletion.
I agree completely, but I'm just saying it seems the rule is open for too much opinion by each official. If you compare the Murphy non-TD on Monday Night to that then that catch was not a catch.So the NFL has to make it clear what the rule is so it can be applied the same in every case. Seems dependant upon the officiating crew right now.
He's not getting 1/3 of the pressure he did last week.
o'line does look better today. I think we match up much better against the 4-3 too. Play calling is adjusted too, some quick underneath, schaub is getting rid of the ball quicker
