Game Thread W2 - San Diego v New England (1 Viewer)

I know it's been mentioned, but this Audio feed (HD via direcTV) is brutal. I can hear the ambient crowd at about 2x the level of Madden and Michaels.

Wait.....this is actually not all bad.

over/under on Maroney touchdowns this year: 3
Well, I think 3 is a bit low. However, I am starting to doubt the kid's toughness a little. He is not taking advantage of his opportunity to seize and retain this starting job. The only excuse at this point would be if they are just trying to ease him back in due to his not playing in pre-season.

Moss is obviously still good, but on most of his TDs this year the defenders aren't even getting near him. As in, not defending him. I just don't understand giving him an 8 yard cushion on 3rd and 5 or letting him run right past you, regardless of whether you have safety help. And especially if you don't. Dennis Northcutt would have 7 TDs if he was covered the way people are covering Moss this year.

Gotta be PI on the Pats there.

Edit: Not so sure after seeing the replay.

It's weird seeing Bob Kraft sober.
What were you watching? He was slurring his words as usual.
Is Bob Kraft known to be a drunk? I didn't know this... :ptts:
You don't remember his on-field speech after the AFC Championship? I forget which one. Hi-Larious.
That speech obviously gets more publicity but it pales in comparison to the speech he made at a rally in New Orleans 2 days before the NE/GB Super Bowl.

Yeah I agree. I mean it's pretty ridiculous...on that one TD against the Jets they ONLY had 3 guys covering him. Seriously wtf, if Dennis Northcutt was triple covered he would've burned them all by 7 yards instead of that paultry 5 that Moss burned them all by.

Except for that oneBut you get my point.

This has been argued to death in the other threads throughout the week, but 3 guys in zone 5-10 yards away >< triple coverage.

So what's the deal with Maroney? Obviously getting him in two leagues wasn't the shark move here. Is he still recovering or is it looking like this is going to be the situation from here on out. Morris looks just as good and Maroney is quickly falling into RB3-4 territory. I mean is Maroney going to be anything more than a bit player?

Yeah, still a Moss hater. Hater for life. We get it.
