Game Thread W3 - Green Bay V Chicago (1 Viewer)

Do you let GB score here so you can try to come back with time?
Hawk shouldn't have made the tackle on 1st down. Let them score and at least have time for your offense. Now they are without timeouts in their comeback. Packers were terribly dumb tonight.

I think that they just pinned their hopes on blocking an extra point.

It could work. I just think you have better shots to drive the field in 1:40 than blocking an XP

The amount of NFL coaches that don't understand simple clock management is mind boggling. If I am a GM, I'm giving a quiz before I hire anyone.

Amazing how college coaches have evolved to non-traditional strategies like going for it on seemingly "crazy" 1st downs, fake punts deep in your own territory, letting teams score when it makes sense, etc that have constantly won them games while NFL coaches continue to sit on the "traditional" but game losing moves just because they're scared to be the first in the league to do it.

this game is making me sick. Good win by the Bears but pathetic red zone play, TERRIBLE special teams, and well a few flags gift wrapped it.

How long until everyone realizes you have to let them score in that situation? And then how long until folks realize they shouldn't (like Westbrook did a couple seasons back?)

Lovie and Mike - I salute you - NFL headcoaching ineptitude at it's best!

I've been saying it for years. Teams need to hire game managers for this kind of stuff. There's so much that goes into hiring a head coach that their game management is probably not even considered at all. With as many games as there are that come down to exactly that, they should all have a specific guy who has no other distractions throughout the game other than figuring out what the best game/clock management move would be.

Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory;

Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.

We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation.

Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown.

You're the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down.

Good teams find ways to win close games. Chicago did that tonight. Congrats. :pickle:

Good game Pack! Better luck at Lambeau! :pickle:

Sure does feel good to be the last undefeated team in the NFC!

Now.. hate on haters.. haters gonna hate!

Wait, they shouldn't have called it dead like that right? What if the Bears had done something stupid like a personal foul? I think the refs screwed that up.

ETA - not a Packer fan - actually glad they lost but I think they didn't do it by the book there.

Sweet redemption for last year. Penalties obviously hurt GB but the offense played us tough. Detroit in GB next week so you will be back in the win column. See ya in December when it really counts!

I agree, though there's a limit to how many people you can have on the sideline. If they did this to add a new person they'd have to lose a position coach or someone else.
