Game Thread W3 - New England V Buffalo (1 Viewer)

Yes, you do, if someone is shorter and a normal tackle will cause a bad hit yes.

Since when are safety rules designed only for above average sized players, its a universal standard had he made an attempt at all, they wouldnt have flagged him, it was because he made no attempt at all to not cause helmet-to-helmet contact that he even was flagged.
you're arguing for a call they didn't even make.he caught the ball, turned upfield, and braced for the hit.
This never happened. He caught the ball, landed and was met immediately by the defender.

I never said he was flagged for helmet-to-helmet I said he was flagged for leading with the helmet, if he had tackled him lower he wouldnt have been flagged.

Yes it did. He's looking directly at Byrd when he's tackled.

Thanx for the pics. No question that it is a legal hit. Goodell and his whores need to stop trying to make this game soccer.

oh the horror....... helmets made contact on that end around

but then again the Patriot was on the giving end so no :penalty:

I bolded that part for a reason, he was facing upfield when he landed there was no turn up field that implied this tackle didnt happen immediately after landing.

Okay, so we agree that Welker saw the hit coming and braced himself for it. Therefore, there should not be a call for tackling a "defenseless" receiver.

I agree with this - not much else. We'll see in the next day or sooner what really happened I called it like I saw it, assuming thats what the refs did too.Great game so far, Eagles/Giants game is good so far, hoping the Pack Bears game wont dissapoint.

Chandler on pace for a 20 TD season. Him and Gronk headed to Honolulu.

I guess I can wait to watch the Sabres. Chandler!! I know that I am old but does anyone remember Bob Chandler?? Another great Bills receiver.

Welkers 11th reception, great route underneath an Ocho crossing route.

23 yards, majority after the catch, broke a tackle and shed another.

Bills defender Williams injured on the play, looked like another Bills defender landed oddly on Williams neck.

BJGE hurt? Where has he been? Anyone that is watching, tia.
Patriots passing a lot and have mostly had Woodhead in there since the Bills mounted their comeback. Didn't like their chances running against the Bills front I guess.

I dont believe so, they are just opting for more utility in the backfield.Woodhead almost every play, oddly enough been seeing Edelmen out of the back field, couple end-arounds and even a handoff out of the backfield.BJGE just ran down the middle for 5.
