Game Thread W6 - Dallas V Arizona (1 Viewer)

If that was an accurate application of the tuck rule, the rule needs to be changed because Romo wasn't even trying to throw the ball... he was covering up because he was going to get sacked.

tuck rule?
One of the dumbest rules in sports.
Yep. Correctly applied in this case, but what a bonehead rule.
Yep. Agree on all points. Romo is not looking like he has it together at all. He needs to get back to a little bit of the old Romo and start moving around more in the pocket. He's been putting too much emphasis on his "stand back in the pocket" approach this year.

So it's cut-and-dried: arm moving forward = not a fumble?Stupid ### rull; because as I said Romo was balling up because he as getting hit.... not even an effort to get away or throw a pass... he gave up on the play.
yep, idea behind the rule is to create a bright-line, clear-cut rule to be applied in what would normally be a subjectively difficult detrmination.

PCra from TRom for the TDow. How gay-bad.

At least it wasn't JWit but would it kill TOwe to make a pass-catch?

After Crayton TD:

N.Folk kicks 37 yards from DAL 30 to ARZ 33. C.Campbell MUFFS catch, RECOVERED by DAL-T.Choice at ARZ 27. T.Choice to ARZ 27 for no gain (J.Urban).

Cowboys driving with under 1 minute to half.

what is the tuck rule? Does it not count as a sack still?
If the ball leaves the quarterback's hand, while in the arc of his throw, even if it is past the point of release as it is being tucked back into the body, it counts as a pass attempt.

TO is a POS. So is it OK if Gurode gets in TOs face for dropping that big 3rd and 1 pass?
I would say  but you're always like this
You may not like how I frame what I say, but I'd love to hear you explain the special TO rules to me. The guy could hold the all time dropped pass record, if it were recorded.
Sure someone can get in his face about a drop and I wouldn't have a problem with it. Somebody needed to get in Gurode's face and it just happened to be TO. The POS part is where I'm not agreeing with you.

Actually I like him yelling at the center for two reasons. It's another sign of an impending meltdown (exacerbated by media outlets raising this very same point) and greatly raises the chances of him getting coldcocked on the sideline or otherwise fragged.
