Yes. What happened is what I said would happen. Knee was down and it should not have been a fumble.I don't care either way as I'm not a big fan of either team. But that was a home field call.

When was the last time LT had less than 20 rushes in a game??

Weeks 1, 2, and 5 which happen to ALL be losses..

I dont care if hes getting stuffed or not, you gotta keep feeding him the ball. Good things will eventually happen.

This is ridiculous. He is not getting 20 carries because they've stuffed him every time hes touched the ball. If anything, they are going to lose the game becasue they've stuck with the run too much, particularly on that final drive there.

They don't... which is why 17 carries for 7 yards is a pretty important number.

This is ridiculous. He is not getting 20 carries because they've stuffed him every time hes touched the ball. If anything, they are going to lose the game becasue they've stuck with the run too much, particularly on that final drive there.

They made the right call there was no clear evidence that he was down. If he had called him down initally Chargers would still have the ball. I think it was the right call.

Not enough evidence to overturn it. If the call on the field was his knee was down the play would have stood that way as well.

I don't know if the city had anything to do with it. Maybe it did. But I think the replay official got it wrong. When Caldwell's knee hit the turf, Caldwell had already started to lose the ball, but he still had it pinned to his chest with his hand. The ball didn't come out until after his knee had already hit the ground.

Oh well.

No. I retract everything I said in this thread. This was my 1st time watching football ever.

17 for 7 says it all. Over half of his rushes were negative yards. Any team can stack up against him now and he'll fail just like he did against the Eagles. Time to move this guy while you still can.

Im confused because the question wasnt a poll.
 
Do they teach these guys anything when they practice? What kind of jacknape doesn't tuck and cover the ball in a situation like that? Caldwell would ride the pine for a few weeks if I was HC that's for damn sure. PS: It was a fumble and there is no way it should have been called anything else.PPS: I hate Shottenheimer (sp?) and the Chargers will be wasting a ton of talent as long as he's the HC. 4 losses by 4 points or less is alot about coaching a team and teaching them to win.

Refs tend to let the close ones play on so it can be reviewed. It's not a bad idea because if they blow the whistle there is no chance for review. If you always give the edge to the field call on turnovers you are going to get turnovers that shouldn't be simply by default.

If LT had another three carries for another -4 yards, I don't think it would have helped the Chargers win.If he'd had another three carries for 72 yards and 2 TDs, I do think it would have helped the Chargers win.I think the first scenario is the more likely one.
