Game Thread W8: Washington @ NYG (1 Viewer)

I guarantee this comment will be seriously used by a Redskin fan this week:

"The Redskins would have won this game if Wellington Mara hadn't died"
1. I doubt anyone says that2. Anyone who adamently claims that the statement is either true or false is foolish....we will never know, so theres no point in arguing it.

Not this skins fanWe couldn't have won this game if the entire Giants team died

We dominated the 9ers last week and now the Giants are showing us what it feels like. If the Red Zone defense hadn't been so good, it could have been 35-0 at the half. :bag:

Well I tried to quote someone that said the Skins defense was great against tight ends but it magically disappeared. ;)

tiki was sorta limping after that last 18 yd run.... i wonder if they'll rest him since they've got a cozy lead

There hasn't been anything open all game. Credit the Giants for a terrific game plan because the have absolutely shut the Skins down. No time to find Moss and forget looking downfield. It is my hope that we can at least get a FG here to avoid a shutout.

Maybe Brunell will actually attempt a pass longer than 5 yards, considering they're down by 26 points.
no time... as that sack right there indicates
Dang, so happy I benched McNabb for Brunell. He's been on my bench all year, finally decide to play him and BOOM bring on the crap!!! To all you Washington Fans, sorry I jinx him. Next week back to the bench!

I know the feeling. I started Brunell today too.

I would just put the backups in and save energy for the next game. Samuels got injured, no sense in letting anyone else get hurt.

How was that not pass interference? As he made his break the defender put his hands on him and he put his hands on his back before the ball arrived! These refs sure do suck.

I play vs Portis and he tears it up. I need him to tear it up vs my div. rival and he blows.I hate that guy.

Yup. That was clear pass interference.

Jay Feely is killing me... Looks like Cooley is back in too - have they said anything about his injury?

3rd qtr = garbage time in this game.

 2nd highest rushing total in team history and we're only in the 3rd quarter.

The call intentional grounding, but not late hit on the QB there
You really think it matters?
No, it doesn't make a difference in terms of the result of the game. But I am seeing horrible non-calls favoring the Giants here. If there's bias in my statement, it's only because I'm paying closest attention to the ones that go the Giants' way here, but I'm not wrong about what I'm noting.

2 Things I learned today:

1. The 49ers are MUCH worse than I originally thought

2. The Skins will not be making a postseason run
My response:1) You must have had a ridiculously inflated view of them in the first place;

2) That's a stupid comment based upon one game. The division is just as competitive now as it has been all year, and all four teams have had horrible games where they haven't shown up.
